The Obverse Shoe Mount is a very special solution that allows you to helmet mount your RH25 right side up. When using the RH25 in front of your left eye, you would run into clearance issues with the battery compartment when trying to mount the RH25 on your night vision bridge using the regular dovetail. Because then the battery compartment points to the right and might touch the PVS-14 or other device in front of your right eye. If you don't have this special requirement, you don't need the Obverse Shoe Mount. I don't recomment the regular iRay dovetail because it can't be used with Wilcox flip mounts (if you ever want to weapon mount in the future). Instead I recommend my own design that many users here use with great success: https://strictlyoffensivekit.com/products/sbr-dovetail-adapter All the dovetails mentioned should also fit into the KVC bridges without issues. |

As I have done before in this thread, I will second the SBR. It’s the shit Attached File |

Damn! I need to look thru all my shit to see if I bought one of these from you! Its been a minute since I have played with my RH25 but this is one of the reasons I started this long ass thread in the first place = seeking to mount it on my right eye. I may be reaching out to you soon for a SBR! |

I’m using 4D pads and generally opt to not use the chin strap and just lightly tighten the headband via the rotating thingy in the back, so it’s no where near cranked down on my head. |

Just make sure to get the correct Unity mount. They have four different versions of risers now, you need the Unity FAST Optic Riser, that one has the correct height. https://unitytactical.com/product/fast-optic-riser/ |

I had a comp M4 rear cap laying around and your post made me realize I could use that Attached File Just received my V2 today and am highly impressed. I had several V1s and never found much to complain about, so I didn't expect the V2 to heavily improve on much. I am pretty amazed by how much better the V2 is. For anyone wondering, I really think it is worth the money over the V1. The ocular lens and display are probably the most dramatic improvements. Something about the pixel density or resolution of the V2 display just seems league's ahead of the V1. They simplified the menu Added way more color pallets, which I didn't think I would care about, however the solid red pallet minimizes eye splash and allows the user a much darker image when needed (sometimes brighter pallets are harder on the eyes for extended periods). I have yet to test audio recording, but that's pretty interesting (will definitely make videos way more entertaining and useful). Even though it's 71% humidity here in south TX, it still has a great image: Attached File I'll be picking up a JV SBR adapter shortly. The adapter that JV came up with for the ADM QD mounts looks absolutely sick also. |

Anyone else get caught in the Arms Unlimited sale fiasco? They advertised RH25v2’s for $2499 the other day. I immediately bought 2 and got order confirmation etc. few hours later they sent an email that said they messed up the sale was supposed to be RL25v2, that they had not received and will not receive RH’s and that all orders would be cancelled. What a shit show. |

What a shit show. The RL romeo LIMA 25 is being discontinued. Getting an RH romeo HOTEL for almost two thousand UNDER wholesale cost would be awesome but likely will never happen. That being said, the RL romeo LIMA 25 is a very underrated unit IMO. I would stick with that order for that price if it were me, very close to wholesale cost on those..... |

I did wonder about it when I first saw it, however that companies pretty reputable company and I’ve seen some pretty remarkable deals from them before. It did make me think that maybe it was being discontinued for a new model, thus the price. |

Thanks. Could be good for a semi-dedicated clip on. Does the RL have a stand alone scope setting with a zeroable reticle? Could also make for a lightweight, shorter range, dedicated thermal. |

I walk around with mine just fine helmet mounted. Wouldn't necessary think it would be optimal for clip on.... but definitely as a dedicated. |

So much nicer than the OEM widgets that don’t do everything it does. Thank you, @javemtr for making a useful piece of metal for us ![]() Attached File ETA: I’m neither German, nor his alt account. I receive no kickbacks on the product he does or does not move. I just really like the SBR for my PFN640 aka RH25. The family has been using the thermal and -14 setup since daylight saving time kicked in to spy on deer around the house. If I get to chill solo I can do Predator vision with both. When the wife and/or daughter want to brave the elements I’m taking one or both off the Chinesoum RQE bridge and the SBR makes that a snap. Just one 40 something year old white guys observations. |

Originally Posted By mah827: I would like to use it as a handheld and clip on most of the time. Is the Wilcox flip mount worth the extra cost over the ADM mount? As far as Wilcox vs ADM: It's important to note that ADM also makes a flip to side mount now, so I'm not sure which ADM mount you are referring to. But... In my experience, the dovetail system of the Wilcox is much easier to use in the dark. What I mean by that, is when you go from handheld/helmet mounted and want to quickly clip the device on to your rifle, the Wilcox is a fast one-handed operation to clip the RH25 into the mount. It slips into the dovetail of the Wilcox and locks itself in The ADM on the other hand requires lining up the 1913 rail section and then latching the QD lever over to the locked position. On paper it seems like it would be equally simple, but in practice the Wilcox is easier to use for quickly attaching the thermal. This stuff gets finicky when you are in complete darkness and may be in a hurry to take a shot on something. For removing, they are about the same amount of effort. Also, the mount height of the Wilcox is 1.60~ and the ADM flip to side is 2.05. So that's a huge difference and depends on your optic setup. The Wilcox is at a height of most traditional scope mounts. The 2.05 is night vision height and will only work with 1.93-unity fast height mounts The standard ADM QD mount for the RH25 is very similar in height to the Wilcox. So just don't confuse the two ADM options when you are shopping around. In short, I think flip to side has the most versatility. Not having to remove the RH25 completely from the rifle is very convenient for certain activities. When you have to remove the thermal completely, you then have to have a consistent/good place to stow it. So going with a flip to side leaves you with having to choose between the ADM flip to side and the Wilcox flip to side (again, be sure to get the correct directional Wilcox mount that flips to your preferred side). The Wilcox is worth the extra money to me, but ultimately it comes down to mount height more than anything. The standard non-flip to side ADM mount is perfectly fine if you don't want the flip to side capability. In which case, it's probably not worth the money over the Wilcox unless you specifically want that feature. All of them are rock solid and have excellent return to zero. So that's a non-issue |

The authentic Wilcox flip mounts definitely carry a discouraging price tag. So if you're not sure that you even want/need the flip capabililty, you could try a cheap Chinese clone of the Wilcox mount like SOTAC. |

I just picked up a ADM Flip to side mount for the RH25. I'm am extremely disappointed with the design. I wanted to comment here to let people know that it is not a force to overcome system and has zero locking mechanism in the hinge itself. It's very apparent that this mount will never return to zero correctly, and I'm absolutely shocked that ADM designed a clip-on/weapon mount like this that can't lock in. I've never seen any other mount designed this way. Even magnifier mounts have locked in and out positions, and this is somehow supposed to work with a thermal clip on? You can tighten the hinge mechanism to the point that it is very tight, but that's it. It has no lock position to maintain zero. As you close the mount to the point that you think it's fully seated, you can press it harder and the hinge flexes. I'm at a loss honestly. They really rushed the design on this. I'm curious if anyone else has done return to zero testing with it. Mine is so bad that it's not even worth doing (I can see how much it shifts just messing with it in hand). |

| Has anything come out that competes with the rh25 specifically in a clip on capacity? I think the rest of it is cool but I don't see myself running a dual band helmet setup so I kinda wanna see if there's anything I can get in the clip on realm that's decent but for, hopefully, cheaper. |

I can't speak to it too much because I haven't used it extensively, but I did recently handle a friends DNT Hydra and was very impressed. At a glance, the resolution and image quality seemed very similar to my RH25 V2. It doesn't have as large of a screen size as the RH25, but it seemed like it would look pretty good as a clip on (the pixel density seemed good). It's form factor is also much smaller in the hand then what it looks like from seeing photos online. It's definitely larger than the RH25, but it's not overly big or heavy. If I had to go buy a budget 640 clip on to replace my RH25, I would probably buy it. I think they are $2k |

The Guide Tb630 and Tb650 variants look interesting for a clip on only device. Would be able to use a lot more magnification behind them with your day optic. |

My experience with the RH25 was only with the V1, but here are my thoughts. The RH25 is a really, really cool unit, but it's a jack of all trades. It does everything well enough, but not great. I had a Yoter C around the same time I had my RH25, and it blew the RH25 out of the water as a clip on. Unless form factor is just that important to you, there are several clip on options that will do the job better for the same or less money. |
