First SBS also . Took a whopping 24 hours to get the form 1 back!!! Just started putting it together have no idea how many iterations I will go through before it is done, but it is going to be a great trip!!!!! Attached File |

Mossberg 590 SBS with speedfeed pistol grip stock. Mounted the stock, didn’t like it and went back to the speedfeed stock with no PG. May try a magpul stock next. Attached File |

My contribution  it started as a Cimarron Chinese Colt 1878 clone. It had a LOT of factory problems with it, so I decided to make lemonade from my lemon. Barrels cut down to 12”. Stock cut to an about a 12.5” LOP. It’s my favorite gun for making glass bottles ‘splode Attached File Attached File Attached File Still got to put a big bead front sight in it but got to get my drill press set-up. |

14” 870, barrel was threaded for chokes and forcing cone was lengthened by rose action sports. I opened up the loading port myself and then rattle canned it, then did red sharpie on the front sight. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

Attached File Learning the lesson. Anyone here remember the basement, on that other shotgun forum? I remember an old guy who posted there, who said we were all doing ourselves a disservice by putting all the additional stuff on our guns. We were too busy putting everything tactical we could on our guns to listen. I am starting to realize just how right that guy was. I jsust got my paperwork back yesterday, and with the new barrel install, it was obvious that the weight of the gun was actually very different with a shorter barrel. The dynamic of it wasn't the same. I am thinking next I am going to do an XS Big Dot, and I am thinking that maybe some Esstac cards would be better than the current side sadddle. Took the RDS off, added one spacer to the stock, and the weight and balance of the gun completely changed. It went from heavy and awkward to just right. Just some food for thought. |

Found out I needed some trigger pin retention spirngs, because I lost them when I installed the Mesa Tactical stuff way back when. I took it to the range and the front pin started walking on me. So USPS tracking said the stuff would be here Wednesday. I had the shotgun and the parts box out, all ready to install the pins and Esstac cards, when I was informed that the package would be late. I was sick of not having the shotgun to play with, and staring at all of the parts, so I put it back together like I used to have tit, for grins. Took less than an hour to make this. Attached File It is a lot heavier, but I have heard it's much better for killing zombies, or so I was told back in 2007. Also have a Sjurefire on order, which should be here Tuesday. I am not holding my breath., |

Attached File Replaced the inforce and Haley Strategic angle mount with a Surefire M340. The mount itself swivels, and it works a lot better for my uses. Mesa Tactical Pic rail and side saddle combo. Mesa Tactical recoil stock with Enedine recoil buffer. Holosun HS515Gr GU green circle dot, plus XS big dot back up sight, still usable with the Mesa pic rail. I have a Magpul sling for it, and it's loaded with Hornady Tap 8 pell low recoil 00 buck. Been a while since I used the Mesa stock, but recoil is greatly reduced with it. If you can live with a pistol grip, it's a fantastic stock. Also, outfitted with a Dome safety that is easy to deactivate with the firing hand. I still need to get to the range and verify zero with the RDS, as well as patterning the ammo. According to Hornady it should pattern about 2 inches at 15 yds, and 4 inches at 25. That is out of an 18 inch barrel though, so it may open up somewhat. Claimed velocity is sub 1000 ft per second. So, subsonic. Penetration at 15 yds is approiximately 18 inches into clear gelatin. It should make for a good home defense round. |

The RIA VR80. A great platform in a box fed 12 ga. These two were just completed last week. Went thru a lot of testing and both ran right off the drawing board. Picked up the last Cerakoted parts last week and assembled them. These are a 7" suppressed and an 8.5" externally choked with Mobil choke system.  Same two guns now open cylinder bore.  |
