If you want to keep your OE receiver at 16", the Effen90 is an option. Or if you want to run an Eotech or a different optic and want it as low as possible.  10.4" barrels are still hard to come by :( Now I just need to get another stock and moving parts assembly to dual wield P90..

is it conceivable to build a PS90 from the ground up using this receiver?  a cursory search suggests that parts are hard to come by and pretty spendy.

It's possible, but as you saw, parts are hard to source.

I had one that I bought from a seller, he had a complete SBR...

I bought everything but the receiver, he didn't have to remove it from the registry or wait for a form 4

Then, I did a Form 1 on one of these

That would've still been true, if you had bought it all, and he had shipped the barrel separately.

This was my conclusion a couple years ago. I bought a whole gun.

The higher rail and increased weight of the original receiver don't really bother me, but these are nice receivers.

When it comes to SBRs...this is the one that makes a lot of sense to me...

$2,295

Might as well buy a whole rifle and sell your "extra" receiver.
