Ill be doing a run of lower profile lighter mk48 sack adapters for these guns with mounting hardware included if anyone is interested. Prototype is in hand, lightening and revisions happening at shop right now. Will post pics of final deliverable soon.  mounts through the factory holes found on magwells using a set of custom pins and e-clips, leaves a very factory looking finish.Until next sample is here, yall get the prototype. Thinking about hoping into one of these. I'm sitting on a few various kits. (DPM, PKT, FAL) there's some progress with FRT triggers too which means this would be a super cool build. Anyone know if they're still in stock anywhere? Any vendors to avoid / kits to lean towards? I've built a few AK kits in my day but this might be one of the ones I outsource building. However that being said being that' it's a closed bolt it's not outside my realm of possibilities. Whereas converting a DPM kit is a bit beyond my scope haha. TIA |

The Portuguese kits on Centerfire right now are the only ones currently available afaik. ETA: I take that back. HK Pro has a kit with their build kit for $3800 |

So the Lee Sporting trigger housings, I understand why they won't work with this, but will the concept work? IE, a trigger housing using an AR15 trigger? Obviously asking in regard to FRT/SS use, but before FRTs were a thing I spent a lot of time trying to shoe horn a Franklin Armory BFS3 into a custom trigger housing for my RPD and eventually gave up because of the necessary height required from the hammer pin to the firing pin, and by then Franklin made an HK binary, and with it's longer hammer it's significantly easier to graft a metal HK trigger housing to the RPD. (understand the requirement for a trip that doesn't currently exist on the BC) Now I'm looking at having 2 belt feds that could easily work with a currently available binary trigger, and I'm torn between putting effort into designing an AR trigger compatible trigger housing for the 21 or just waiting until someone creates a forced reset HK trigger pack. |

The LBT made ones are an improved pattern and available in different colors. Highgroundgear makes a functionally improved product but you will be paying for it. |

Got to test fire mine! So it runs, that's the good part.... the bad part is I didn't get the rails where they contact the trunnion fully flush with the trunnion bolt opening, so every so often the rollers stop on the trunnion before the bolt can get in it. Over time I see that this would continue to push the rails out further, or make roller dents in the rails. It looks like I can still flex the receiver some to fix it with no issues. I may get them where they need to be, and tack the rails to the trunnion. Oddly enough, it runs better with the M13 links vs the non disintegrating belts. My star wheels were already modified.  |

I havn't had the time to post pics on the work he did on my damaged shrouds (regretfully) that i posted pictures of several pages back - but he did an absolutely SUPERB JOB on them. Do not hesitate to contact him about your 21 builds or parts to see if he can fit you in. It might take a bit of time if its not a complete build as he fits in odd ball parts fixing/correcting in between full builds (IF HE CAN) But if you are patient (and he accepts) you will not be dissapointed. Ill get pics UP of what he did for me next weekend. |

Questions,, was the hardware that was installed on the barrel (Barrel Handle etc) obviously new HK or surplus from the FMP kits/parts that came in ? or did you opt to install your own FMP one from your kit ? Looking it over, hows the thickness of the chrome lining and overall visual quality of it ? did it click right in like butter ? is the Flashider a U.S. made copy or is it the FMP one from your kit ? or a new one from HK ?

The wait sucked but I think they’re at the point they’re going to be cranking more out in higher quantities based on discussions with Paul. His public comms aren’t the greatest and he has a lot of irons in the fire, but he’s always answered the phone when I called or called back within an hour or so. |
