Long time lurker….recently dove in…installed a reolink cx810 with dvr. Plan to expand when I see what works. in daylight and low light, it awesome. It’s in an almost total darkness area. Reviews made it unclear how it would perform so got one to try. I want stealth in my system so the light is turned off. Is there an Illuminator that is no glow and lights up a wide area for a camera? After total darkness can’t see a thing. Or was there a better camera for this application? An Illuminator will have to be mounted to the left of camera but can be mounted out of its field of view. Can also do more than one Illuminator . Thanks. |

Illumination also depends on distance and number of LEDs used in the illuminator(s) |

Can you post a few pics of it at like 20' and further? It might be the model cam, some of theirs have better IR than others. I have the 36ch (3 HD) NVR and a POE Switch, 3 outside cams and 1 inside. Two of the outside ones are PTZ 16x Zoom, one outside is static, no move, no zoom. The inside has ptz and like 5x zoom. I can see my neighbors cats under his truck in their Driveway with my PTZ Zoom cams... I want to add at least 3-4 more and 3 more inside. Its great for checking on my inside dogs and outside cats... :) |

Did some reading on those cx810's. Sounds like they work great if there's other light sources ..... porch lights, street lights etc. Does it say on the box what the lux rating is on your cx810? |

I can’t find it listed anywhere but here is the link to it CX810 Yes turn lights on and it works but for a variety of reasons I have no outside lights on at night and don’t intent to. My neighbors about 200’ away have two security lights so there is some ambient light. |
