I live in the NE corner of Indiana and I have come up with bubkis in my search for a vendor near me that sells actual safes, not just residential security containers. Can't find any listings for actual safes in the size I need in the used market either (craigslist or FBmarketplace). I'm looking for something in the 6+/- foot tall, 4+/- foot wide, 3+/- foot deep size class with a plate steel door and a minimum of a 90 minute fire rating. Any suggestions? |

You could look at the Amsec RF703620X6, its a monster and very heavy. Its not quite as big as you were looking for, but close. If you're interested I can get you a quote from my distributor. I doubt anyone will have one on hand, but the lead time shouldn't be bad. |

If the location where you will place the safe can support the weight, I would suggest buying a used reconditioned composite TL15, TL15x6, TL30, or TL30x6. They will typically cost about as much or sometimes less than a new RSC and they offer real security. Empire Safe is a good outfit. They deal with diamond and jewelry sellers in NYC, so have a lot of refurbished inventory. They will freight deliver to someone in your area who can then deliver to you. Zykan Safe is out of Missouri. The owner was an active participant here in the past. |

I have an amseb BF series safe that I am planning to move. I got a smoking deal on a large TL-30 last year. makes the BF look wimpy POT and pawn shops always moving / closing and they have to have them. They generally don't pay to move them and almost give away. You need to pay for figure out how to move them. I'd look around for businesses that are selling a used TL-30 Amsec BF is the lowest level of safe I would feel good about. |

How much are you willing to spend? Look at Brown, Graffunder, ISM, maybe some AMSEC models if you want a real "safe" and not a sheet metal box with drywall. Depending on size, construction materials, and overall design you're looking at $8k to $45K or more. |

| Yeah, those saws/blades are a problem now. No more need for pry bars and torches. Not sure what the solution is, but you better protect the sides and back of your safe because those are generally less secure than the door. |
