As the title says, I want to ask for a .22wmr lever action rifle for my birthday coming up. She doesn't know what to get me because like most adults if I want something I get it myself. This is a win-win for both of us. I've looked at Henry and like the Frontier but have read online that QC is hit and miss lately. Internet stuff so no idea if true. I shot my buddy's GB and it seemed fine. Is there someone else making a better 22 mag lever rifle? Is Henry building solid rifles? I bought a case of ammo this morning so I'm committed. I just don't want to buy a rifle and regret it, and then have to do it all over again. I appreciate any input. |

Winchester 9422M is the best one IMHO but sadly discontinued. Might be worth finding one depending on budget. Henry and Savage are the ones I would look at if buying new today. Henry rimfire lever actions are what they are. Usually good looking, usually shoot well, always made out of pot metal. At least Henry is a stand up company and will take care of you if there is a problem and made in USA. Not a lever but a CZ 457 22wmr is a nice gun. |

I've got a CZ 457 in .22lr that I swear will be the last gun I'd ever part with. It's a joy to shoot and probably more accurate than I am. |
