| I am not familiar with 9mm cans and everything required to mount up to a 7" CZ Scorpion. I'm looking for suggestions. Budget is under $1K OTD. |

I bought an Exigent Defense RICO309 for my MP5 clone. With supers it's really good, very nice tone. With subs, it's stupid quiet. It's on the large side, but it's not heavy. It also has wrench flats if you ever need them. ETA: I had a YHM R9 on this gun before the RICO309. The RICO309 is good bit quieter and A LOT less back pressure. The RICO doesn't spit back at me. edited for clarity |

| Assume you are talking about the direct blowback CZ Scorpion? Ideally, you want a low backpressure can for the gas side there is no delay mechanism. The CAT MOB is very good, although you’ll probably be over $1K if sales tax is figured in. The OCL Milkman is also good, although it doesn’t come with any adapter, so you’ll need to buy a HUB adapter on top of the can. The Rugged SUB9 is nicely priced for modern subgun can, and comes with a great 3-lug adapter. Even with sales tax and buying a 3 lug muzzle device, you’ll be under $1K. The DA Wolfman is good for suppression, but it’s an older high backpressure can, so expect gas and a little more recoil than with a low backpressure can. The Huxwrx 9K Ti is good on price, light weight, and very low backpressure, but no great on sound. If you consider the Mojave 9, I’d look at the RXD910ti, which is basically the same can, but a larger diameter, lower price, but you lose the modularity. That’s what I’m currently running on my Scorpion. |

I have a 3 lug from HB industries on my Scorpion and I'll use a rugged obsidian 45 on it, but haven't actually shot it yet. It's not low back pressure so probably is not the best option but it's the pistol can I have. |

Rexsilentium MG7K.358 can is what i’ve been running on my Scorpion for two years now. I run it in matches at least once a month. It can be direct threaded on the 1/2x28 barrel threads. I’m running mine with Rearden Atlas and RC2. I think it sounds great and most bystanders comment how quiet it is. It sounds nice with supers and is giggle quiet with subs. You know what giggle quiet means. Yes its direct blowback with a traditional baffle can but i dont notice any excessive gas or recoil. It is a 9mm shooting off your shoulder after all. I got the Rex can during one of the sale periods. Something like 30% off. Less than $500 otd. There are sites that regularly have Rex codes for discounted prices. |

I use my old school SilCo Octane 45HD across my MP5, AR9, Scorpion, several Glocks (9mm and .45) and used to use it on a Berette CX Storm 9mm till I traded it off, to fund another build. The Octane has multiple modular adapters (trilug, Nielson Devices and direct thread) so it fits so many of my hosts. |

In my experience, shooting an older conventional backpressure can on a Scorpion seems fine, until you try it with a new modern low backpressure can. I bought the Wolfman when it first came out, and thought it was OK because that how cans were back in 2019 when I bought it. But after getting a CAT MOB last year, and shooting both cans back to back on the Scorpion, I’m not going back to high backpressure cans on a direct blowback. Just to add, I’m talking about these cans from a subgun/PCC use case, not as a can to also use on conventional pistols. YMMV. |

| I get that the O9K is small and therefore shouldnt be as quiet. I preach about size all the time as it seems that no one takes that into consideration much. However my O9K is just loud to me. For just a little more size you get a lot more sound reduction. |

I used to have my rugged obsidian 45 on mine (5.5" bbl) and it was pretty quiet with subsonics. Now I have a YHM R9 which I like, way shorter package, looks good with the MI forend shroud, and quieter to my ears. |

I bought the OCL Milkman yesterday, I need to figure out what hub I want on it. Thinking of just getting a direct thread for now, and buy the 3-lug barrel for the Kuna and Hub later. I post back on how it sounds compare to GEMTECH MULTIMOUNT and the AAC Ti-Rant. The Ti-Rant is a little quitter then the MM to my ears. |

The Ti-Rant is a little quitter then the MM to my ears. Got a chances to run the Milkman this weekend. Form 4 come back quick. Compared it to the GEMTECH Multimount (MM). They both sounded about the same to me with supper and subs. Was running in on a Kuna. I didn't experiences any gas blow back with either, but it is a roller delayed PPC. Honestly I never experiences gas in my face with the scorpion and MM either. The MM was a hair lighter being aluminum but the Milkman is shorter. Both are very comfortable to shoot without hearing protection. I can give the Milkman a recommendation if your looking for a PPC only can. I want to get my hands on a Tish, or RICO309 next. Lets see what the gun shop gods in my aera get in stock. Edit: Form 4 not 1 |
| Guys, thanks for all the recommendations. I will be buying something in the next few weeks. I am invested in the SiCo ASR mounting system for my other guns. I assume I could use the same system for the Scorpion? That way I could also use it on my 300 BLK running subs. |

Hey OP, not sure what your Scorpion has as far as muzzle thread but I'm presuming 1/2"-28 so just need an ASR 1/2-28 9mm muzzle device. |

Question: I use the SiCo ASR platform. Do you know if anyone makes an ASR compatible 1/2x28 9MM muzzle device? I believe the scorpion has 1/2x28 threads? ETA: I just saw that SiCo sells a single port brake that is 1/2x28. If anyone knows of others, I'd appreciate the heads up. $100+ shipped is pretty steep. |

If so, how is it? |

Not who you asked, but I have run the Rex 358 on my 8.5" 300 and it sounds pretty good. Not as quiet as my Omega 300 but that is to be expected. With the Rex you can run 300blk supers too. |
Doesn't mean that much to me to mean that much to you.

I have however run that MG7K 358 on my 762.x39 AK. Ran it in carbine competition. Did not run subs with the AK but with supers it really tamed it down. Didn’t notice excessive gas blow back or gassy taste like i get with some .556 suppressors. I’ve put it on my Ruger 7.62x39 bolt gun with S&B subs and its very quiet. Absolutely hearing safe. Like an air rifle. Not bad for technically a K size suppressor. Built like a tank. Stone |

Kaw Valley Precision has a brake & a flash hider that is ASR compatible for a $59 each. I would like to try one or two, but I haven't ordered them yet. FYI |

I bought the Milkman for the Kuna, but after putting it on the Scorpion, I think it looks so much better on the Scorpion. Got the Rugged 3-lug mount. I'm using the HBI 3-lug barrel and there handguard. The can just go a little into the hanguard. Attached File |

I have a yhm r9 with factory 3 lug. I love it on my scorpion, mp5, and AR9. The back pressure isn't noticeable, neither is gas, and it is super quiet. I was contemplating buying another. Two weeks ago my local gun shop announced 4473 transfers and I went in to buy another. I walked out with an Incolite. I mounted a Rugged 3 lug and wow am I impressed. 14.5 oz for the R9 and 9.6 Oz for the Incolite. Initial testing with 147 grain ammo and I couldn't tell any difference in the sound. I put less than 50 rounds through it, but so far it's impressive. I need to shoot it outdoors to really tell the difference. |
