In 1996 I purchased a used SR-25 Match rifle. It came with 1 aluminum waffle mag and 7 other 20 round mags pictured. They have absolutely no markings inside or out that identify if they are true Knight’s. The followers feed last round on the left which is opposite of every DPMS mag that I have seen and all of those were marked DPMS on the floorplate. Besides, I don’t think DPMS was even making 7.62 AR’s in ‘96. When I sold the rifle several years ago, I included the waffle mag but kept these. I want to sell these now, but don’t want to sell them as true Knight’s if I am not certain that they are. Any knowledgeable Knight’s collectors or historians that can confirm that the early magazines were not marked?Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File |

I am by no means and expert or historian. However, the welds on that mag are all wrong for KAC. I believe that I may still have a single mag like it. I honestly dont know where it is and will need to dig it out to confirm. I posted on here a few years back asking about other mags that look close but are not KAC and did not get a response which explained where the mag came from. |

I have several of these that were still in the wrapper that were included with my SR-25 match rifle. The previous owner ordered directly from KAC in the early 90s when he had his FFL, and these were on the order sheet, so I'm assuming they are either KAC or made for KAC around that time period. Mine are similar with no KAC-esque welds or markings, but no other markings to speak of at all. |

These were in separate sealed bags in 1996, but I don’t remember if the bags had Knight’s stickers on them. |

It came with a relatively lower serial number SR25 Match that I bought a while ago. Was represented as a factory mag but it does not feed right and I just assumed that is was some kind of aftermarket since I got the rifle used. Cool if it is OEM for the timeframe of the gun but it jams on the 2nd to last round on every gun I try it with (the old Match and newer stuff like my EC). Like I said, I posted about the mag and the baseplate mark a few years back and never got a response. Yours is the first other one I have seen. |
