My EDC includes a Gun, a spare Mag, a Flashlight, and a fixed blade Knife (3 or 4 inch). If I use a shoulder holster (Miami Classic), the gun and mags are easy. The flashlight (Surefire 6P) and knife are on the off side on my belt. Recently Ive switched guns (2011), so its on my strongside. The spare mag and light are on my offside. Its the knife that has been confounding me. Ive tried both sides and neither "feels" right. Ive tried behind the pistol, which is fine for carry but putting it back without being able to see is a bit touchy The knife and flashlight get used the most, opening packages and reading small print (serial numbers). So they need to be accessible coming out and going back. How do you carry your gear? |

| I carry a folder or OTF knife in my back right pocket for utility tasks. I like carrying a fixed blade horizontally to the left of my belt buckle. Firearms is typically carried at 130ish |

Pistol strong side im lazy so most of the time i dont carry a spare mag Few Years back I discovered a knife company called TKell knives. Which introduced me into horizontal carry at 12-1 o'clock. Imo it's the best way to carry a blade given you don't carry apendix. You can access the blade with either hand and it conceals well. I feel naked if I don't have a blade there now. Attached File |
