I will probably start with my attached garage first. Looking for security sytem and maybe cameras integrated too? Battery operated with battery and cellular data backup? We lose power here regularly. What are my options? |

You can make anything 110V battery operated by powering it via UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply). At mimimum, you'd need a POE router (which will send power to the cameras via Cat6 cable) and a DVR/NVR to store the recorded videos on-site. You can send a backup to the cloud as well, but of course that requires the internet (WAN) to be functional. Cellular backups just dial-out to a monitoring center to alarm. They're not going to stream the video feed(s) that way. |
