| Looking to put a pistol on a old chest rig. Wondering if anyone makes a kydex type pistol holster that fits inside a standard 2x30 rifle mag pouch. Google has failed me. Thanks. |

GWOT clone correct is to slap a light on it and just put it in there as long as there is a flap or a bungie to retain it. If the pouch is snug enough and you are deliberate about it, there is not much difference between that and this molle holster. If there is a drain hole and you aren't going to run a light you could 550 a Vanguard to the botom of the pouch and it will pop off on the draw. Clip it back on when you reholster. |
| One added benefit to running a simple IWB holster is that, if you run it with soft loops or some other slim line clip hardware, you can always pull it out and put it on as an actual IWB holster on your belt if you had to. I wouldn't want to swap it back and forth, but it's an option. |

I used a old Fobus holster that I drilled out the rivets where the paddle attached . I inserted the holster into a old SAS type drop leg holster , ran a Chicago screw thru the Fobus rivet hole and thru the back of the drop leg holster,very good retention and positioning. You can sometimes find very cheap Fobus holsters in the used holster box at the gun shop. Same thing should work with a mag pouch. |

But I dummy-cord a simple IWB kydex holster in there with paracord too. It's simple, quickly and easily reversible if you decide you want to carry more rifle magazines instead, it works, it has retention if you open the flap of the pouch - and you can always pull the holster out and wear it if you have to ditch the belt kit for some reason. |
