With SHOT Show around the corner, kinda interested in seeing these optics. Dunno if they've been talked about here, but it's a dot sight with Vis and IR lasers built into the housing of the optic. I dig the almost-all-in-one, so there's no chunky laser getting in the way of the sight picture of the dot optic. Not to mention with the lasers mounted back on the receiver, it takes deflection out of the equation a'la having aiming lasers on the forward rail. Still need an IR illuminator, so we continue to dance around a true "all in one" that's small and workable. Still, neato. |

Very interesting. Found these pics via search: https://fragoutmag.com/holosun-2026-sneak-peak/ It's the same problem as the Mepro MOR and MARS. No illuminator, and if everything is co-aligned as it should be, then you don't have any real need for a visible laser. It should be a visible dot, an IR pointer, and an IR illuminator. Of course, the red dot will probably be a hell of a lot better than the MOR or MARS. |

When you go to activate the laser with your thumb, it looks like you'll be blocking the laser. Kinda silly. |
I'm no holster sniffer but if someone burned down the town garage and threw canned corn at the snow plow guys I'd drop off a case of beer at the DPW. ~Aimless

I'm fairly certain guys will run this like they run their AEMS/SPR-EVO now, on a 1.93" or 2.26" optic height. That would give a good amount of clearance over the thumb, similar to how all the "high speed" guys with short rifles run their LAMs on diving boards (HRF Skiff, Arisaka's diving board) to clear up rail space. Probably gets problematic when you start using Hotbuttons or Modbutton Lite RAMPs or anglers, though. IMO, it's an odd use case, though. Maybe there are guys running IR Illuminator heads on their scout-pattern lights who don't have a white light; this would make sense for them. Or, maybe there are still guys running a white light and/or an Arisaka KIJI illuminator as separate modules, in which this would fit. For when weight is an afterthought:  |
