Anybody use this? It ranks by metal thickness, fill material and some other things. I was happy my am sec safe was rated well at B but a few others I was looking at are rated F Thought the database was pretty cool and saved me little time. Nice to know I made a good investment in a Graffunder 10 years ago... Also nice to know that investment has more than doubled!!! Holy crap, the price of safes has shot through the roof. I paid about $8k for my safe back in 2013. The same safe lists for almost $21k now... I guess when I move in a few years, it will be worth it to pay to have the safe moved vs buying a new one and selling my current one locally. |

Great resource. I made it to #1.  . The only correction I would recommend is the AMSEC RF series are neither UL or Intertek fire rated. They are advertised at 2 HRS @ 1850 but for some reason aren’t Intertek tested like the BF, BFII and their other TL safes. Even the plaque simply states “tested by the manufacturer at an independent laboratory.”Nobody I have talked to seems to know why. |

Sketchy site. I see some details that are listed incorrectly. I would advise to double check everything. I am a skeptic with a torch, saw and grinder. I can brake things. I can cut any vault open quickly with less than a .25 thickness with a Milwaukee 6370-20 hand saw. It even says it will cut .75 with proper technique. I'd just bring 3 saws. For .5 inch Evolution S210CCS. Spend your money on an alarm, cameras with internet and cell backup and a monitoring service. |
