| Double the price of my Henry X 44 mag that shoots minute of paper plate at 100 yds on a good day with ammo it likes and minute of suitcase with anything but 240 gr ammo. That will be a NO Dawg. The Marlin 1894 SBL 44 mag group at 100 can be covered with a coffee cup on its worst day. |

I think they're a neat addition but clearly something for $$$$ enthusiasts. The upcoming X mares legs are much more interesting to me. My .44 X shoots pretty well, about a palm sized group (I have big hands  ) at 50 yards standing with those lousy sights* and 180 Remington 180gr SPs. Lucky Gunner shot both the .357 and .44 X with a bunch of different ammo and his .44 shot noticeably better with heavier ammo so I'm happy with what I've got so far. I only plan on using those Remingtons for HD use (+2000fps) when traveling to AWB areas, 3-4" at 50 yards is fine there. I have some Prvi Partisan 300gr SPs but haven't shot them yet.*I like the front sight but I can't line it up in the rear sight. I don't have this problem with the regular buckhorns on my .22, plan is to either replace the rear with some kind of receiver sight or get a Leupold 2.5x20. |

Too rich for my blood. I’ve got a pair of Henry 44’s (AW Sidegate and a OG Brass Classic) along with a 357 X. I keep thinking about a threaded 44 but it’ll probably be another X. ETA - my 44 Henry’s do 3-4 inches at 100 yards with 240 grain SWC handloads. They like 300 TC’s better. I’ve never tried lighter. I did just finish a batch of 200 grain RNFP 44 Specials. Maybe this weekend. |

Picked up the .357. Seems well built. Initial complaints: Has a traditional rear sling mount but no front sling mount. Optic mount is to tall for a cheek weld. Will test it out this weekend. Attached File Attached File HUSH: Attached File X Model: Attached File |
