| Seems I don't have the right way or wording to google the info I'm looking for so after a week of searching, I'll ask here hoping somebody with good FAL specific knowledge will help out. A buddy gave me a DSA rifle in exchange for cerakoting a few gun for him. It's a Type One receiver with a Belgian bipod cut barrel in the 10000 range, original gas block still installed with the long Belgian flash hider. Bolt and Carrier are mismatched but headspaced with the correct shoulder. Had a complete Cuban contract lower with it but having a bipod barrel, can't make one of those. Can't seem to find the info for what would be correct parts for specific models of rifles. One, is a Belgian bipod barrel on a Type 1 receiver correct for any models FN ever produced? Two, if this is a good set-up and not a total frakenkit, what are the correct parts to go along with the model? Lower (SRA or SED?), handguards, stock, grip, dust cover, gas plug, any other specific small parts, etc. Any info would help as most searches for models or variants just lead to a history lesson with mentions of all the countries who made them and their heavy barrel and para variants. |

I don;t mean to turn you away from ARFCOM, but have you checked on the FALFILES site? I guess they are still in operation. Best of luck. I wish I had not sold my L1A1 or the extra FAL kit I had taking up space. |

Type 1 receiver and bipod cut barrel will be correct for the Stg58. SED lower, steel handguards, non-humpback stock, Stoll device flash hider. ETA: roller plunger bipod. |
