Hey everyone. Buying my first Form 4 Suppressor. I currently have one of the Form 1 solvent trap suppressors, but want to get a “real” can now. I know I probably should get dedicated cans, and some day probably will, but for now I want something that would work well on a range of guns. 308 Bolt gun for hunting, 308 AR, 300BLK AR, 556 AR SBR and 16”. While sound is important, more importantly is weight, length, and repeatable accuracy. The ARs are primarily used for target shooting and hog hunting. But the 308 bolt gun is used for elk and mule deer hunting in the mountains of New Mexico. I’m looking at either: Huxwrx Flow 762 Ti Dead Air Sandman-X Dead Air Nomad Ti XC Or let me know if I missed one I should look at. |

I own a Huxwrx 762 Flow Ti, it works quite well in its primary role now on my 12.5" 308 AR. I've used it on 14.5" 5.56 ARs, and it's very disappointing in that role. I would encourage you to steer away from something you think will be multi role. Instead, pick one single role that you value most highly, and address it with this next silencer. Address other needs later. The only exception I've found in my own silencer collection is my Hybrid 46, which bounces between different bolt actions, and large bore ARs. Low round count, and not aggressively optimized. All other cans in my collection that I'm glad I bought, were bought because they fill one niche really well. I have a couple cans bought early in my collection that were meant to do it all, and now they do nothing, because I don't shoot them. |

I’m starting to lean towards Sandman-X or the Nomad XC for my SBRs and then get a separate Nomad-OTB for my bolt gun. |

Basically get the dedicated can for your 308 gas gun and it should work for those other rools until you fill them. Consider the cat obd and otter creek infinity in addition to what you've listed. You can get on pew science and other sites and compare the noise levels on different platforms. Be aware if you go titanium it'll spark pretty bad at night if that matters to you. |
