Does having the golden rod connected to the home's 110 volts compromise the cage's purpose? |

Not 100% sure about the cord running into a safe, but I do know from extensive experience with handling cellphones, tablets and laptops as evidence, if you put a cell phone in a faraday bag and connect a charging cord to it and run the cord outside the bag and plug it in to an outlet or battery pack, the phone will still get some service inside the faraday bag... Only way is to plug them into battery packs and put the battery inside the bag with the device and seal it all inside. I would imagine the cord running through the wall of the safe would compromise the faraday cage and act as an antenna to anything inside. |
