I decided to install a Johnny Glock trigger kit in my 43x. Everything went fine until I tried to reassemble the slide. The issue I'm having is that the back plate on the slide will not seat. I have watch a dozen videos on how to do this and I am doing the way they all say to do it. Still won't seat. It stops about a millimeter short. I have tried it with the striker assembly only and with the extractor only. Won't seat. when I slide the back plate on with neither, it goes all the way in. I ordered a new slide plate just in case but I can't see anything wrong with it. I am completely puzzled. Anyone experience this? Is there a trick to getting the slide plate seated? |

This isn't going to help but, I've watched my share of his videos and as I recall there was a fitment issue at some point so he created a cavity to correct it. I also know you have to get in there and get some to get that sob in place to hear the click. I also know you aren't the first to have the issue. Subbing to hear the solution. |

| I finally got the back plate to seat. The solution was so simple I'm almost embarrassed to say. I did what every video said. I compressed the striker until the plate slid over the end to capture the stiker. I then compressed the ejector spring and pushed the plate up until the ejector spring was captured. Thats was as far as I could get it to go. The trick (at least for me) to get it it seat was to put pressure on the black plate while pushing it up and it seated no problem. I stumble upon it accidentally when I pressed on the plate I notice some give as it compressed the striker a bit. I hope this helps someone. |
