I have a three day weekend so decided to inventory magazines. Pistol mags that is, I’m not going to even attempt doing rifle. Anyway, I topped off all the pistol mags while I was at it and decided to load a few empty AR mags as well. They were an assortment of USGI, PMags, and a few cheap steel mags I had sitting around. The 5.56 I had near the top of the fort was Geco: The stuff in 50 round boxes and on poly stripper clips. I could not use the damn things to save my life. They are a bit big to go in a USGI “spoon” and I could not use them to directly load a GI mag either. I ended up removing the rounds from the strips by hand and loading them one at a time. Anyone else have this issue? Is there an easy way to utilize the damn things as intended? And Happy 4th!! |

Thanks! They have a “Swiss” model that says for metal clips but the photo shows a plastic one very similar to what I’m talking about.

Looks very much like an old FAL charger I have in a drawer. You have to love GD as pretty much every question is answered in short order….some times even seriously
