It's my understanding the FA M1 carbines are the only quality new production rifle. But they sure are spendy. I've read on here that sometimes FA has sales on them though. Is this very often? Is there a way to get notified, of do I just need to hit the website frequently? |

It's been awhile since I 've seen FA run a sale on them. I got my 1st 1 several years ago on a Labor Day sale. I would look this weekend to see if they do run a sale though but don't count on completed Carbines being on sale Quality wise their as well made as USGI WWII production Carbines, since they use USGI parts in their production outside of the new production barrels and receivers. The later are USGI spec using modern CNC machining. If you can afford it their worth the money IMO. I would lurk on Gunbroker to see if you can find a slightly used 1, I snagged 1 like that 2 years ago $1k cheaper than current prices. https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/Hello-My-Name-is-Don-and-I-m-a-Carbinoholic/6-533984/ The 1 thing about FA carbines is they have chrome lined barrels compared to the WWII production carbines. That'll add to the barrel life, your grandchildren will be shooting 1 if you buy 1 and care for it. I've over 5000 rounds down 1 of those barrels since 2020 and that carbine is as accurate as the day FA installed the barrel. If the weather is nice tomorrow, it'll hit the range for another 100-150 rounds |
