Finally shared on social media the first peak of the FM-9D. The last 15 months have been solely focused on making the best system we could provide for the rebirth of the FM-9D. The big question is, when will it be available? GOALS will be the official launch week, website will be live that week for anyone to jump on and get theirs. Below is a list of key features: - the FM-9D is now a complete firearm - upper can be used on mil spec ar15 lowers - accepts glock stick mags 17rd, 30rd, 33rd - accepts 100rd and 150 round belt bags - 4140 alloy and S7 alloy steel components - heat treated, nitride, hard chromed internals - anodize colors on launch, ODG, FDE. BLK - rare breed, AZ Reg, Super safe compatible. - optic mounts for aim point type connection - optic mounts for RMR type connections - cowitness of irons and reds = true - BCM rail hardware - variations of rails , mlok , picatinny, and mixed - upgraded controls - 8" and 16" barrel versions on launch. - patented and pending IP - firearm and upper ship with a Savior soft case - firearm ships with a factory glock 33rd mag - firearm ships with a 100 rd belt bag - upper for ar15 use ships with Savior soft case - upper for ar15 use ships with a 100 round bag There are a lot of fine details that will be released soon with detailed images and videos, Shipping begins August 9th. We have been burning through 10k-15k rounds per week the last 4 weeks. The systems being tested are operating at a truly amazing level of reliability and ruggedness. Final testing is almost finished. Production of 95% of the part types commenced last week (just making sure all the drop in reset items play nice.). The email list will be notified first each time the webstore comes into stock, so make sure you are on the beltfed email list.

Weren't these uppers about $2k a while back? Is it that much more for labor/materiel nowadays, or because of frt expected demand? |

Also pricing reflects distributor and dealer pricing so dealers should be a little cheaper than we are and everyone make money. We have multiple patens in process and the cost will be reflected when we share all those features. However yes 10 years ago the MSRP was $2495 with an introductory price of $1895 for the upper, which did get up to about $2295 before we stopped production. It will still be the most affordable production beltfed system on the market for the complete firearm which is duel feed. Pricing has nothing to do with FRT, most of the customers that have been bugging me the past 15 months have full auto lowers. If you go put $2495 in an inflation calculator for 2016 it will spit out $3341.80 as today's equivalent so $3599 and $3699 for the new upper isn't that far off. There is currently an original FM-9 on gunbroker for 7k. That is a bit high but I have seen them sell this year for $4500 |

My own view is that left-wing positions largely come about from resentment, I agree with Nietzsche, a resentment about the surrounding social order. They have privileges, I don't. Or, I have them and I can't live up to them. Roger Scruton

How would a belt bag attach to the mil-spec lower? I've got my lower spring and buffer tuned for several uppers: CMMG RDB 9mm, .300BLK, and 5.56 uppers. Does the FM-9 also use a delayed blowback bolt? |

Yes so the FM-9 is the original beltfed upper that we launched 10 years ago. About 7 years ago it went out of production because our FX-9 9mm PCC took over. The brace hiccup slowed things down that we could make a beltfed again. The boss did a bunch of new stuff with it and now we have a complete system but still has the ability to use an AR lower like the original. Yes its another thing you need to have lol I have a ton of emails from people who were disappointed they just found out about the beltfed and saw it was out of production. Those folks are about to be happy. |

Well, that explains a lot. I think now I was planning on running wolf steel case thru it.  I didn't buy one back then because I couldn't find more links than that which came with the upper.ETA: didn't there use to be a carry handle on the barrel? Yes, my memory isn't that good, so it may have been on the handguard |
