Does anyone have template letter and the correct email address for the ATF to use for having a form 1 sbr removed from the registry? I have a sp5k I got a stamp for but never configured it and did not engrave. I'm going to sell it so want to make sure the next owner can do a form 1 with no issues. Will the ATF send a reply back via email that it has been removed or the record updated that I can provide the buyer also? |

[email protected] is the email to send it to. I just did this a couple of months ago on an AP5. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy just briefly state that the NFA item listed in your email is being returned to title one status and ask that the registry be updated to indicate such. Include your name address, phone number, etc. also include the ATF control number from your form one the model, serial number and caliber. And that should pretty much do it. I don’t recall exactly how long it took, but it was a month or two before I received an email stating that they had updated the registry. Hope that helps. |
