I bought the Shiv, have a G43X with SilencerCo threaded barrel and the threads terminate too close to the pistol frame for the Shiv to work. The Shiv, when tightened, would interfere with the guide rod during cycling so the fix is to use a jam nut for 1/2x28 and I bought these, worked perfectly, now it is on tight, no issues to report. You could try to purchase a .25" thread spacer but they are really pricey compared to a jam nut and OOS everywhere I looked. The Shiv has a perfectly level surface where it meets the jam nut so I do not need to worry about baffle strikes. 1/2"-28 Thread Jam Nuts Steel for 223 (Steel - 6pc) Attached File |
