Is the Fightlite feed tray interchangeable with a M249 feed tray? I have a Fightlite upper and if I can save a couple hundred on a spare part I would ideally like to, but there seams to be no info out there. If someone out there has tried, it’d be awesome posting your experience with what parts are interchangeable with the M249. |

I know one guy who modified an M249 feed tray for his own Shrike use, but he has serious metal-working skills. On a related note, the machined steel feed trays I think do help to guide bullet better than the thin sheet metal 249 tray but I haven't had any issues with mine. Someone posted some time ago some really good pics on what he did which was to TIG some steel tubing to the feed tray. The tubing was cut off to make a feed guide. That looked like a more stout option than the polymer feed insert that someone used to sell. |
