I've seen great success with making AR based bullpups look like the British l85.

Is anybody doing something similar for the FAMAS either the G1 using straight 25 round Brownells magazine or the g2?

No one I am aware of on a commercial level.

The best candidate for it is the Keltec RDB, and I have seen a few pics of guys who made a forend for it with the carry handle by 3D printing one-off's.

Someone is working on producing a clone; he’s already managed to build SA80 reproductions.

I don’t know if France will ever sell Famas components. They have been selling off their FR F2 recently.
