Email from Arms of America this morning announced the ATF has approved the Grot at last. We are excited to share that Arms of America has officially received BATF approval to import the MSBS Grot from FB Radom! This project has been a long-term collaboration between FB Radom and AOA, and we are proud to serve as the exclusive U.S. importer of this iconic platform. Arms of America will be offering the Grot in both a 10.5" pistol configuration and a rifle version. A product listing is now live on our website where customers can sign up for in-stock notifications. ?? The first shipment will be extremely limited, and we expect demand to be very high. Pricing will be announced once finalized with the factory. The MSBS GROT has matured into a highly reliable, fully modular, NATO-standard weapon system. Its proven battlefield performance—particularly during the Ukraine conflict—has solidified its status as Poland’s premier next-generation rifle. We’re honored to help introduce this piece of modern military history to the U.S. civilian market in partnership with Fabryka Broni. Grot 10.5 Pistol Grot 14.5" Pin/Weld Rifle (this will supposedly come with the stock and be fully 922r) Pricing TBD. After what their pistol cost though, I am somewhat concerned it's going to be pretty expensive. I still think it looks a lot like the original Magpul Masada prototype though I know it is a different internally. The sample photos are pretty rough but I imagine those were prototypes that got sent to the ATF and were tenderly loved. ETA - ARF is eating my screenshots. Click the links in the meantime, I'll add back pics when the hosting quits weirding out. |

Very excited for this. If it's under $2,000 and AoA sells spare parts for it I'll get one for sure. ETA: Gun Jesus has a great overview on these for anyone interested: ![]() MSBS Grot: The Complete History of Poland's New Army Rifle |

AoA did a really good job with the Beryl imports (I have one and it’s an excellent rifle and correct to the wz. 96) so I suspect they are the best possible choice for getting this right. FB Radom is just very very proud of their products. In Poland it looks like the 10.5 goes for 2100 euros and the 14.5 is 2400. Prices don’t always translate 1:1 though. The full military config Beryl looks like it retailed around 1400 euros and that was about a $2000 purchase here. |

| I emailed AoA asking about spare parts. They said they're still keeping some things under wraps and will have more info out soon. They said they'd have preferred to wait to announce these until all the fine details were complete, but FB Radom was so excited to be able to import these they asked for it to be announced early. |

See at the 24:32 Mark in the Gun Jesus Video above for the Barrel change. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9A54ODrzq0 It's better than the Scar and way better than the ACR. All use the extruded receiver and the barrel into a small steel trunnion. The scar uses bolts that thread into the small trunnion and forward into the gas block.. The ACR used an AR15 barrel that went into a large trunnion and then a barrel nut that was large also. The ACR using the AR15 barrel is the dumbest ideas in firearms development in history. I know why the did it that way. THEY assumed the DOD would like the idea of using the Barrels they have in inventory for the M16 M4 Etc. in the new Rifle. BUT that was just a Philosophy that didn't fly. Bushmaster buying the design and having to rework it was well just wrong. Bad charging handle location no Magazine feed lip supports. Using heavy ass M4 profiled barrels. Yeah theres that "Uses AR15 Barrels" bullshit that didn't work out. Made the gun heavy. The SCAR, BREN and MSBS GROT all have the barrel attached to the trunnion. The trunnion also has the locking lugs. More complex machining that will be EDM cut anyway but smaller lighter and in the case of the MSBS GROT makes barrel changing less complicated. One Allen wrench thats it. I wonder if AoA is going to ship these with the soft cased Tool kit that the Civi Polish MSBS GROTS get shipped with. I'll find a video or pictures later. Got to go shooting. |

Not having that discourages many people from getting one. I for one am NOT interested in going the SBR route, so that's one sale lost right there. I shelled out nearly $1800 for a Bren 2 MS w/16" barrel though. I'm seeing conflicting info as to whether or not the barrels are 1/9 or 1/7 twist as well. |

Pictures show without the stock. BUT the info says will come with factory stock as a rifle and sold as a title one rifle. AND BE FULLY 922r compliant. The Civi MSBS Polish GROTS use AR15 triggers. Hello Geissele SSA-E X trigger goodness. You know I need give these AoA guys a call today.... |

Hello Geissele SSA-E X trigger goodness. You know I need give these AoA guys a call today.... Okay, I may have misunderstood the product page. 14.5" with a welded on flash hider. Gotcha. Any reason they are marked .223 and not marked 5.56? I'd be interested in knowing if they are 5.56 chambered or .223 (that's a no-go for me). From the pictures, its a piston gun, not DI? |

The .223 vs 5.56 markings are just a Euro thing from my understanding. I'm definitely going to butcher the explanation - but from what I remember it's something to do with the way Europe classifies .223 and 5.56 ammunition. They still consider .223 as being loaded up to 5.56 pressure and civi market firearms have to be marked .223 (whereas 5.56 markings are for Mil/LE/Gov). I'm sure someone will come along and correct me, but that's what I remember from when I was looking at 5.56 AK imports. |

Any military-derived semi auto from Europe will have a correct 5.56 chamber. The markings are mostly a legalistic thing; many markets in Europe (Germans especially) restrict military caliber rifle exports/imports so 5.56 is a no go. .223 on the other hand is still considered a sporting cartridge so it’s fine. The Beryls were marked .223, the HK SL-8 is, heck they even named the Euro-market 416 guns MR223/MR308 to avoid it. All correct military 5.56 chambers under the hood though. |

Hopefully the stocks are available. My opinion is, I think these are showing up a day late and a dollar short. 10 years ago or more when they first showed up at SHOT, I wanted one bad. It took them so long to finally make imports happen that too many other cool guns like the CZ Bren 2 got my money instead. The Forgotten Weapons review on the Polish military issued MSBS rifle showed it to be a bit disappointing. Seeing so many Brens being used in Ukraine with good results makes me feel like it’s likely the better weapon of the two. At this point I pretty much have lost interest but I hope the Radom sells well. Options are always a good thing, |

I've read disappointing things about them in Ukraine, but who knows how anecdotal that might be. Though it seems like they have been improved and Ukraine is likely getting the initial batches. ![]() Article explains some of the shortcomings. |

HK and HK USA has said the HK433 or any of its different calibers WILL NEVER come to the USA for civilian sales. When it comes to roller locked guns if it's not an MP5 it won't be made by HK.... Roller locked guns outside of MP5's in 9mm they are considered End of Life, Obsolete by HK and they are Obsolete. When I can buy a GROT from AoA and actually have it transferred to me at my gun shop then I will believe it. Until then Fingers Crossed and OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! |
