Got my F1 approved but I don’t see the CLEO section present. Now there is one present in the submittal form. Do we still have send these to the CLEO agency or did the requirement was removed? |

In olden times, there would have been plenty of time between submission and approvals to get the CLEO form sent and then wait some more. Not so much any more. |

CLEO trashed the paper ones (but not the emails) and only replied to the emails. We have a new CLEO now though, and I think he started keeping the paper ones too. |

Put form in envelope, put CLEO address on envelope, drop envelope in mail, my job is done. Hopefully rule change will be finalized soon and the silly CLEO notification will be gone. |

The intended purpose of the CLEO notification is so that if the CLEO knows some reason you should be disqualified from having having the NFA item, they can contact the ATF to inform them. |
