I have wanted to outfit my Silverado cerakote guns, my mostly accurate Christmas Cheer 1.0 rifle, and today that happened. Years ago I was on the phone with Sheldon discussing a phenomenal deal he had given me for my 3rd Silverado, which ended up being a donor for the barrel to my CC 1.0 rifle. By the end of the call, I had mentioned I would be looking to get 3 sandcutters to outfit them. I wasn't in any hurry, and consequently, many years went by before I started realizing the error of my ways  This was in 2017. Well, lo and behold, I started getting emails in the last 12 months or so about dealers getting their last runs and ended up buying several from various places. The coolest one so far is the one I picked up today. It is one of the sandcutter carriers absent a lasered logo, and that one ended up in my Special Run 1.0 rifle. I chose that one simply because my Lunchbox also has no logo on the carrier. They "match" in some ways. And the 3 Silverado cerakote guns are now "complete" outside of me wanting to find a trio of Aimpoint R1s (2MOA Micros with silver finish)  I will have to do some glamour shots of them with my real camera soon. |
