I have three NFA items that I purchased as an individual before I created my trust. I am now looking to transfer them to my trust. I have gone through the e-forms process, however on the firearm section, my forms do not have a control number, and it does not appear that I can continue without that control number. I was able to locate the control number for one of the firearms through their terrible system by using the information on my form, and that seemed to work. However, I cannot locate the other two, even when using the correct information that's listed on my original form 4s. How do I do this? Can I submit it without anything listed on the firearms tab, considering that it's all listed on the other documents? Thanks |
| I ran into this on some NFA items when doing interstate forms on eforms. Some of my approved forms used full middle name, other just my middle initial (because that is how my drivers license reads). Depending on how there were approved originally, I needed to change my profile to match. It is easy to change the profile back and forth. |

With that said, I was able to find another one of mine, it seems that they just put the items in the system kind of haphazardly, and you need to get all of the columns just right in order for it to work. Still trying to get my suppressor to show up, I'm thinking that they may have typoed it when they entered it, but I'm still working on it. |
| I ran into this with 4 SBRs that were on single shot trusts that I was transferring to myself as an individual. Only one of my paper Form 1s had a control number. That one went easy. On the other three, one had just my middle initial instead of my full middle name like the others. Next one, it took multiple tries to find the model name that matched. For the final one, they slightly changed the trust name from what was on my printed form 1. The SS trust format name is TRUST, and the serial number had a dash in the middle, and was in that form on my paper Form 1. But what they put it into eforms, they replaced the dash with a space. Agree with the above, they were somewhat haphazard in loading old paper forms into eforms, and sometimes you just have to keep trying various permutations of data until it works. |
| Yeah, no combination of things worked for me in finding the suppressor. So I'll call tomorrow, and hopefully they'll give me the control number. They probably entered the caliber or length wrong, because I'm entering it exactly as it is on my form four, and I try to a whole bunch of different combinations or similar numbers. |

Having the same issue with one I filed back in 2010. No combo works Emailed them through eform - they wrote back and said they fixed some things and it should work. Still had to play the right combo game to get it to work. They put a slightly different model # than what was on the form. |
