Also from ECCO’s Facebook and addresses some questions I’ve seen here and in other threads: Jerrica and I are revamping & refining our system for keeping track of inquiries and orders, creating multiple new queues & spread sheets to try to make sure we get back to everyone on everything in a timely fashion. We're just getting so many contacts from so many places, I can't commit it all to memory anymore. Once we get this where we envision it, there should be no more issues with forgetting to get back to people who were wanting to place orders at a time we weren't taking them. That said, I'm sure there will be a few I can't remember or find my notes for as we create these new lists, so if you had inquired about custom parts but have not heard back from us for a little bit, please drop us a line about what it was you were wanting so we can get your name in the queue to call back for order taking as we get caught up. I don't want anyone to feel like we aren't interested in helping them with their needs. That's not the case at all. We just had to come up with a better system to accommodate the increased demand, make sure nothing slips through the cracks going forward. |

I personally love the Tipton gun vise casting couch. At the risk of sounding weird, Nick has become kind of internet famous. I’m proud of the fact that he has worked on my can and I have the casting couch pictures to prove it.

Did somebody say casting couch?  Anyone that says you can't polish a turd obviously hasn't had Nick do any work for them. After talking to him, and verifying that my cheapo $13 solvent trap tube would hold up just fine for .22lr (don't own or shoot .17 or .22wm), he put this together for me. Even did a few touches I wasn't expecting. I'm blown away to say the least. I can't wait to run some rounds through it. Huge thanks Nick!!Before  After

It was night and day. The re-core (as is) belongs on a rifle for full potential. I'd be curious as to your thoughts on how yours sounds on the end of that pistol. |

Damn, this thread has me thinking about another Form 1 build. This time for a 1911. Gotta start investigating that option now...... I bet Nick could do an awesome .45 ACP recore. Might have to drop him an email and get his input. I’ve got a bright stainless Colt GCNM with Mother or Pearl grips. Might be time for a bright stainless polished can to go with it for the ultimate BBQ rig. |

WWWOOOOOOOOO Tax stamp came in 5 minutes ago! Sent the email off to Nick to see what I need to get it out to him. Also, I need to find someone or somehow to drill the end cap... I did not want to look too early in case it got denied. I am pretty pumped right now. |

Smaller the better so he can clean it up to his liking. |

A hole was drilled this morning... 5 hours driving around the city. Thank god it was actually done on a lathe, so I hope that makes Nick happy. The little guy is now on its way to Nick to become something better! Now the real waiting begins. |

It's been so long, I hope he even remembers me. This thing has taken almost as long to get as my F1 did to get approved. I swear they must hold shit at each depot for quarantine before sending off to next stop. Should have just had it sent to him direct. |

Metering and ears showed that high velocity rounds do better with a couple or three of them mixed in (depending on total number of baffles), but not the whole stack. They are the second & third from the rear, and then usually second from the last if the total number of baffles is more than 7. I don't have a .458 SOCOM for testing the one we're discussing here, so can't provide dB figures, and will have to wait for the owner to report on efficacy. .45 cal rifle rounds are not easy to knock down, but at this size, it should do a pretty decent job. Trust me when I say, the wait is well worth it. Performance on my can is incredible. All FRP is now gone on my guns with direct thread on application. I have to use a Gemtech QDA setup on the AR22, so it's noticeably louder on every shot due to dead air space filled with oxygen that can be ignited before reaching the blast baffle. But it's still easily hearing safe for sure. Waiting on one more item to get here, and I'll get you guys some video of it in action. I could not be any happier.

I am debating if I want to SBR this thing or not. A lot of me wants to, but the other side of me wants to keep it a pistol so I can take it with me to kentucky to shoot. Who am I kidding, I have many ARs to choose from, I need to put in the stamp haha. |

More money out of pocket but if need be, can get it back. Built AR's just end up being parted out if wanting to sell. I built the one I posted up a few post. That has been changed since 2010 about 20 times now since that was my first rifle. It is the one in my picture with my dog a page back or something. I definitely spend too much on my rifles anymore. I may skimp on the lpk but that is about it. The big thing about this one is I wanted to make a pistol to take with me every where. |
