I'm working on approximately cloning an MCS. I have a ton of parts on deck. I need a few measurements: Length of installed 10" barrel from front of receiver to muzzle Front edge of pic rail to front edge of receiver Length of magazine tube from front of receiver to end of threads Thank you for any help |

Even though it’s a pump action it is still a gun I lust after. It would be cool if there was a retro shotgun resurgence like we got with ARs. A company making various MCS parts, things like wood stocks and forends and the bayonet adapters for 870s, heat shields, duck bill chokes, out of production ghost ring sights and various barrel offerings. I bet there is some money in that. Not trying to derail your thread, just day dreaming about the possibilities. |
| No problem. I agree. I think a "game changer" for the platform would be if someone made a quality dedicated die and alignment jig to thread the mag tube, and perhaps another to rethread the forend tube assy There's still a lot more work involved, but after that it's a bit less complicated to sell and MCS-length barrel. |
| I haven't played with a MCS since I had 3 of them in Afghanistan 10-11'. Don't have one for measurements but I got some pics on my other laptop. Was armed with one 14" configured one when we got attack one night by 50 tailban. AC-130 took most out. Only one made it into the perimeter. Rangers took care of him. |

I only have the externally threaded barrel so can't speak for the 10" flush barrel. On mine, threaded portion starts 9 7/16" fwd of the receiver edge. 2. Appears to be 0.230". 3. Appears to be exactly 9". See images. Good luck!    |
