Does FN not sell a factory 13” SBR 17?

I had one of the original Belgian reciprocating charging handle 17s probably 12-15 years back, sold it and have missed it.

Thought I would replace it with a 13 inch SBR but cannot seem to find them complete anywhere, just the 13” barrel for $1700 which really seems berserk.

Am I stuck buying a 17 and SBRing it then throwing the extra cash at the barrel?

Not to my knowledge. You have to buy a 16” SCAR 17 and buy the factor made 13” barrel (and of course SBR the rifle). Solely up to you if you think the 3” chop is worth it.
