Ive seen a few posts over on The Hide on it. Guys seem to like it. I do think the change overs are a bit more work than say an MBF or the Tyler 3D printed feeders. Change overs in true Dillon fashion are not cheap. The bullet feed dies are alot like a Lee when you look at the cross section. I think the Lee dies are better than the MBF dies and I own both. I do see alot of guys running the Lee feed dies because they are half the price and they just work. Full disclosure? I run the Tyler printed feeder with MBF and Lee dies on my RL1100. |

Which is an absolute beast so I modded my old Hornady case feeder to use it. I can turn the clutches down tight and pretty much fill the bowl if I want. I have to print another feeder, and I think I might swap to this motor for it because reasons. |

I like the idea of Dillon bullet feeder, but the high cost upfront and changeovers, along with the changeover time, kinda turns me off. $750 bucks for 4 calibers? I think id rather print and build another Tyler for less than a $100 and go order another barrel. Its exactly the same reason I didnt buy an MBF. I need to print another feeder as I want to sell my old LnL, and I want to be able to send the bullet feeder with it as a package deal to make it a little more desirable. I will probably use the motor from Grainger on the next one I build so I can fill it with more bullets for less down time as the RL1100 is twice as fast as my LnL. I also put a jog reverse on my Tyler as once in a great while, it will jam at the top into the spring and being able to back the feed plate up just a bit makes it easy to clear any jam. Was a bit of a trick with the wiring, but it does work great. |

Yesterday removed the Mr Bullet feeder from my small primer 1050. Not sure what I'm going to do with it. Today installed a Dillon bullet feeder in it's place. Set up in 9mm. Instructions were not always accurate. Mainly parts were installed instead of in bags like the instructions said. I puzzled it out. I did have to file the upright mount (slot was a tiny bit too tight). I found it easy to adjust the feeder window. Once adjusted all bullets fed base down, what you want. The part that lets a nose down bullet fall away, so only the base down bullets feed to the feed die. Feed die was easy to adjust, directions were spot on and I soon had it feeding 1 bullet at a time. The flex "spring" that goes between bowl and feeder die has a secure system to hold them in place, an upgrade for sure. Included is Dillon's version of an M die type powder funnel. The case mouths must be belled to allow bullets do drop in smoothly. Tomorrow I'll install another Dillon bullet feeder on my large primer 1050. Will set up in 10mm. |

Got my second bullet feeder set up on my large primer 1050 for 10mm. Took about 2 hours. Did I mention how easy this bullet feeder is to tune? Took 6 hours yesterday with the first one. Dillon is going to sell a lot of these. |

My Mr BulletFeeders run really well. Not 100%, but I am not 100% either. Once I added a Range Panda bullet feeder flipper guide, changing bullets became painless. No more shims. Range Panda RPG2

"Window" is what lets nose down bullets slide out of the bullet slot back to the bottom of the bin, but allows base down bullets to feed out of the bowl into the feed die. It's a plastic ledge that the height is controlled by the adjustment knob. So simple. You start with it all the way down, full clockwise. This worked fine in 9mm. in 10mm, I need to put about half a turn CCW to catch the bottom of base down bullets. Instead of 2 different sized Allen wrenches (MBF), the Dillon has 1 knob with detents to adjust the window. No complex bullet flipping (MBF). To adjust the bullet feeder, I took about 1 foot of one inch diameter dowel and clamped it in my vice. A pipe would work, but I had a dowel. Bullet feeder goes on dowel and it's now at eye level. Place about 30 or so bullets in it and adjust. I place a wire jumper between the switch wires (or you could plug in the feed switch, but you have to activate the lever). Jumper is easier. Then just plug in the power plug, turn feeder on, adjust window, follow instructions. You catch the bullets in your hand as they drop out of the feed spring. The angle adjustment on the mounting bracket, I put it half way like the instructions say. Worked fine on the 9mm and 10mm bullet feeders. |

Got a tip when assembling the bullet drop die. You have to select the correct holes (holes for different length bullets) to place 2 stainless steel balls in the proper holes. Follow the instructions, what I had trouble with is getting the balls to stay in the sleeve while inserting into the die body. What I did, put a tiny bit of grease in the hole ( size of a pin head, I used Cheery Balm Black Rifle grease). Place insert vertical on bench holding on to the balls. Carefully lower die over insert, balls stay put, and you can reinstall spring and nut. Done, screw die into press. |
