I have a 12.5” Remmington 870, and am paranoid about blowing my fingertips off. Iv’e had multiple foregrips/ pumps installed and have never really taken a likeing to any of them. The OG one is best.. But then, the paranoia.. SO, I drew one up with a hand stop, based on the original, and printed it. I may make the flange part of the hand stop wrap around the sides a hair, dunno. Will shoot it soon and see how I like it.

Looks good OP. I don't have any pics handy at the moment, but I found a few of those extended sling plates that come on the 870 Tac-14 Hardwood and have them on all my 870 shorties. Haven't lost a hand yet! |

The material is just PLA, its mostly a fitment and function test. Gonna tweak a few things in the design then print one in PA6-CF. Even in PLA, it would hold up fine as long as it was printed with 100% infill, other than the low softening temperature. I expect it to hurt when I shoot it, no getting around that. The stock is a choate sidefolder as somebody just mentioned. Super solid lockup. Heres another shawty I did recently- an old stevens 20ga that was free to me. Before-  After-

Added a pic rail to the left hand side. More practical now. The inforce light is a good match for it. This stock is, believe it or not, an airsoft gun stock made by G&P. The pivot and locking pins are a tad undersized so it has a bit of play. May turn a new set of pins to tighten it up some. Took a little effort but it darn near fit right on. The materials seem good to go, as far as I can tell. All the metal compomenta are steel, dunno what grade of steel though. Need to shoot some hot loads through it and see how it holds up. Will engage safety squint
