I was at the crossroads of the west show in Phoenix and in the SAR building, a guy had recently imported famas parts kits. A guy was across the isle building one. I was not able to get I picked up, but had anyone else heard of these? |

Yes! I saw something about this a while back. Childers is allegedly working on receivers. The kits I saw were all FELIN kits designed to work with the integratedoptic/range finder. Which I thought was a bit odd. They have no optics and the forward grip that houses the buttons for the range finder, etc are empty. |

Well, the new kits at Atlantic look to be the same type the guy at the SAR building had a year and a half ago. I think he was selling them for about half of Atlantic though. $6.3K famas kits |

I know this post is very old but Childers made the first batch for Virginia customers right before the ban went into effect, so they're in the wild, just like a couple dozen EM85A3 receivers made it out before the ban. FAMAS is on my list but the Felin isn't super interesting. If they ever get their hands on the F1 or G1 kits I'm in. |

I’m looking forward to seeing some of these in the wild , always wanted to FAMAS. Is the December Crossroads/SAR show still a good one? I haven’t been in 20 years. I remember it used to be great back then , like three or four buildings and outside. I’m trying to talk a buddy of mine into making the trip but I don’t want to suggest it and find out the shows gone to shit. |
