So the short of it - I'm looking for a suppressor to use predominately on a 4.5" Sig MPX but I want to be able to use it on my 7" 300 BLK (DD PDW) from time to time. Eventually I may get a dedicated suppressor for the 300, but thats not in the cards right now. I have a Dead Air Sandman S for my 5.56 rifles and Im super happy with it, so would like to stick with DA. The Wolfman is the obvious choice for my next can. My question is - if I put the Keymo Adapter on the Wolfman, a Keymo Microbrake on the MPX, and the fullsize Keymo Brake on my PDW (which I already have, it came with the Sandman) can the Wolfman be used on both? I know the Wolfman w/Keymo will mount to the Microbrake on the MPX - but the real question I'm asking is if the Wolfman w/Keymo can be mounted on a fullsize Keymo brake? Some other questions I had were in mounting the Wolfman to the MPX. Unfortunately Sig went with a 13.5 LH thread pitch which seems to be much less common, and not available on the DA Microbrake. My options as far as I can tell are to get some sort of thread adapter that changes the pitch to a more common pitch, or replace the barrel altogether to get a different pitch. Am I missing any other options for getting this to work? Would it be better to just dedicate the Wolfman to the MPX and go with something like a direct thread or 3-lug? Obviously that would be the best choice as far as the MPX/Wolfman goes...but if I go that route it commits the Wolfman to the MPX so I was trying to avoid that and keep the Wolfman compatible with more than one gun. Thoughts? Maybe recommendations for different suppressor/mount options altogether that might work for this? |

I just ordered my Wolfman so I'm not speaking from direct experience yet, but... DA has a compatability chart: https://deadairsilencers.com/press-releases/keymount-fitment-guide/ The keymount brake is too long for the keymicro adapter but apparently the keymount FH will work. I have a Sandman S and K for 5.56 pistols and planned on sharing them on my 300 BO as well. Now my plan is to remove the FH (this will determine if rocksett was a mistake) from the 300 BO and slap a micro brake on so I can do both supers and subs with the Wolfman. I'm waiting on a Lage upper for a Cobray M11/9 SWD. I plan on putting a micro brake on that too for the Wolfman. I wasn't really interested in a silencer for the Glocks but being that I'll have the Wolfman now, might as well get setup for them too once I can get my hands on a piston and booster assembly. DA rocks! |

Great, thanks for the info. So looks like if I get a micro brake instead of the fullsize brake on my 300 Blk, I'll be good... provided I figure out a way to get a microbrake on my MPX. I had read DA was eventually going to release a micro brake in 13.5 LH too but who knows if/when...I'd hate to wait the 6 months for the Wolfman and still not have one. Ultimately I just want to have my mounting solution figured out and possibly even ordered before paying for and committing to the suppressor. Once I get it sorted I'll order the Wolfman asap. |
I’ve got a Wolfman on my MPX and it’s awesome. I bought a 3-lug muzzle device from ILWT and I’m currently attaching it that way. Eventually I will probably switch to the key micro brake when DA releases that for 13.5 LH, but this actually seems to lock up pretty tight.  I also run a Wolfman on one of my 300 blk SBRs, and it works well.

One has keymicro and the other has 3-lug. Not sure if I’ll go with the micro brake on the mpx when it comes out or not. The 3-lug actually locks the cab up pretty nicely. |

Quoted: How gassy when rapid firing the MPX with the Wolfman? Barely noticeable. Along those same lines, I picked up an A3 Stribog recently and that thing is an awesome suppressor host. Haven’t shot it a ton yet, but no malfunctions. Buddy of mine has one and says it doesn’t like steel case, but otherwise gtg. I have not run any steel case in mine yet. But the action is so far forward that there is pretty much no gas in the face at all. I like PCCs.  I’ve got a Rex MG7 .358 and an Omega 9k in jail. When I get the 9k, it goes on the PTR MP5k clone, and the Rex will go on the Stribog. Wolfman from the Stribog lives on a .300 blk host currently, but I may mix that up and switch it over to my Dakota Tactical when I get it later this fall/winter. |

Thanks for all the replies. I pulled the trigger and ordered the Wolfman yesterday... figured I'll have a few months to sort out my mounting plan thanks to the ATF... I'm planning on running the Keymicro on the can, DA microbrake on my 300 Blk, and I'll need to figure out how to mount it on the MPX... I'm kind of just hoping DA releases the microbrake in 13.5 LH before the can gets out of jail, but if that doesn't happen I may end up getting an ILWT MPX barrel with the 1/2x28 thread pitch then a microbrake on that. Hopefully I won't need to do that.... maybe Mr Magee has some input on if we can expect a 13.5 LH brake this year? Jmac customs doesn't have a 13.5 LH muzzle device do they? |

Going 3 lug would be ok if I didn't want to also use it on my 300 but I really want that flexibility. 3 lug pretty much makes it dedicated to the MPX. Swapping barrels to a different thread pitch on the MPX seems to be my only option currently... |

My concern would be that, as soon as I get the new barrel, the brake comes out the next day. |

Yeah, browsing the web I see a lot of talk about it going back to last summer... so I'm not too hopeful. Youre right though, soon as I spend the money on a brand new barrel it'll be released...I have no doubt. But once the Wolfman is in my possession there's no way I'll be able to not get it mounted on my MPX. Either I spend the money on the 3 lug setup or I replace the barrel and go with Keymicro. There's no 13.5 LH direct thread options out there either right? |

We have a bunch of M13.5X1LH options coming out. From direct thread, Xeno, to Micro KeyMount stuff. They're being prioritized with a bunch of other low-selling offerings that need to get out the door. I really apologize guys, these just weren't able to be fit in the cracks during the big production move and ramp-up. The market going nuts hasn't helped either. I'll be honest, I expect these to be a few months out because they need to get in queue behind some big batches. They're indeed coming though. Maybe you guys can settle a question I've been thinking about. With M13.5X1LH, you have both muzzle indexing and taper barrels out there. The muzzle indexing adapters will all fit the taper ones, but it won't work vice-versa. We'll be offering sig taper adapters in 1/2-28 and 5/8-24 threads, but for 9mm, it's just a small usage and we're going to offer the muzzle seating options so everyone is taken care of. The Dead Air direct thread M13.5xLH adapter for the Wolfman will index on the muzzle of a taper barreled MPX? No other adapter or part is required if I wish to go that route? I'm annoyed that SIG, being SIG just had to use a tapered barrel. Hell, were in the US. The Metric threading is annoying and outdated. It should all be 1/2x28. |

Yeah I just got off 12 hour shift, not sure I follow either... you saying 1/2x28 and 5/8x24 will be offered in taper, but not 13.5x1LH? Thanks for response Todd! Top notch that you follow up on threads like this. Part of the reason I decided to stick with DA for my second can. |
