Saw that PSA has these on sale for $139....looks like it might be fun. Anyone have one? Do they feed reliably? Pretty accurate? Thought it might be fun. Thoughts?

Well....my Crosman DPMS SBR came in yesterday! That thing is a blast!! I was a little disappointed with the velocity it shoots at though, my little C02 pistol kicks out BB's faster than this thing. They really drop fast out past 40yds. I think I might try that spring mod...it's supposed to help up the velocities a little bit. Also, it came with a cool little speed loader (see picture). You just hold it up to the mag, press the plunger in a few times, and BAM...25 bb's loaded back up. The full auto works great.....super fast cyclic rate.

They are pretty terrible imo. Yeah, that are pretty flimsy. Any ideas on how to make the triggers any better on these guns? It's got to be something like a 12lb pull, and it feels horrible. |

The range and velocity are disappointing but for short range drills, run and gun and general "playing" in the backyard, they rock. I just use the bottle type bb containers, open up the mouth a bit with a knife, and hold it right up the loading port in the mag, and let gravity do the work. It's not too bad that way. Well, I've probably ran a couple dozen C02 cartridges through this thing...it's a blast! Yes, the velocity and accurate is pretty laughable....but it feeds good, and man that rate of fire in full auto is fast. Thinking about opening up the ports in that magazine valve to up the velocity a little bit.....but I'm not sure how that will affect reliability, and longevity. Sounds like once a part breaks...you are screwed since replacement parts are pretty much not available. Sure is fun for playing around in the backyard though

Thought it might be fun. Mags don't hold many BB's and are a pain in the ass to reload. Probably wouldn't buy one again. Thoughts? |

My son got one for Christmas a while back, and they’re fun for a short while. Way better than the Drozd. Make sure to keep it oiled or you’ll start having misfires. I give him my spare parts and he sets it up how he likes. When I bought it, I was half asleep and meant to buy the Crosman pistol version, but he grew into the DPMS. |
