| Am I correct in thinking that the only things required to convert an sp5 to a sear host is to get the alliance armament carrier with removable trip and a grip frame that is clipped to fit on the sp5 shelf? Is anything else required? I am not concerned about remarking the model and other things that aren't required for function. |

Hey Osprey, its good to hear from you! Thank you for the confirmation. I haven't kept up with the hk stuff over the last couple of years. A lot has changed. There are so many different types of shelves, carrier blocks, etc. These days. It's a bit of a pearning curve! Yes, I still have it! By the way, did you know that pof mp5 guns are being imported by a local company?!? |

It seems like it. Im very confused by these Sp89's going for $8k on GB because they are a "sear host". As far as I can tell the only thing I had to do was switch out the carrier for the RCM Sp5k F/A-style bolt with clip n pin housing on my sp5k and poof- now I miraculously have a sear host for less than half the cost of an SP89 "sear host" Gotta be missing something because this looks like one of the most stupid charades I've seen in a while. |
