Two of my carbines need some new wood and I don't really want to gamble on ordering old stocks unless I can see them in person. I might track down some correct stocks one day but for now I want some repros. So who makes the best reproduction stocks? I've seen Boyds, Fulton and Numrich (made by boyds?) I'm looking for the correct M1 profile and look. So obviously Auto Ordnance and "Inland" are a no go. |

i would say, having all 3 on M1 Carbines that the Norwich stock would be the best value for the money. If Fulton still sold the complete unfinished stock set that would be the way to go, I've got a couple of those years ago and lover the look after I finished them out myself. |

I was kind of leaning towards the Numrich. Decent price as well. How is the finish on them? Do they look like GI stocks in person? |

I wish Dupage still offered their Carbine stocks, I was thinking of ordering one of those so I could compare them. For the price I would say the Numrich is the best value on the market right now.  I used it for a project build a couple years ago. Right now it's on a Fulton Armory Carbine I had them build with those parts |

Buy the old nasty dirty stocks from J&G - buy like 5-6 and you'll get at least 2-3 that will be very usable with a day or two of TLC. |

I just did that a few days ago myself. For the price buy several. You can de-grease the wood multiple times, soak in wood bleach, repeat until you get it clean and dents out - not going for Arsenal Perfection with a cheap stock Just some extras while they are cheap and some for experimentation - Going to work on some to see if I can mod a Mini-14 style side folder to an M2 Carbine just for the thrill of trying it. |
