Well after about 5 months of planning and buying parts and waiting for the cerakote job to get done... I can finally say I am almost done! :)
All I need to do now is re-assemble everything and install the gas block. But I was so eager to see what it looked like that I just laid out the parts and see it "mocked up". All the main parts are cerakoted magpul FDE and all the small accessories are going to be black like the Forward Assist. I'm a lefty so everything is ambi (Raptor CH, Bad-ass selector, and Troy ambi mag release) It's a 10.5" match grade barrel with a gemtech Trek can on the end. Nickel Boron Upper receiver with a Spikes lower. WMD Nickel Boron BCG All FDE Magpul Furniture MI-SSK Rail 9" Noveske keymod scout mount and a surefire Scout mount FDE front and rear Troy BUIS Aimpoint T1 w/ Larue LT660 mount and yet to be installed is the govnah gas block from MicroMOA I run a Vltor A5 buffer tube, A5H4 Buffer, and Sprinco Green Spring I think that's about it. LOL I have Ben at Boresight Solutions in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to thank for his amazing cerakote job and Robert from MicroMOA for his adjustable gas block that allows me to shoot quality ammo with almost ZERO gas blowback... it's beautiful! Once I assemble everything I'll post some better pictures but I was just too damn excited that I had to share my project with the world. 
I haven't decided what vertical grip I'm going to use. My traditional magpul MVG (I'll have to customize it to fit the keymod rail) or BCM's brand new keymod rail. I wish the BCM grip were just about an inch longer and it would be perfect. Once It's built I'll be able to figure out which one I like better. The magpul matches better color wise. I hope you guys think it looks as bad ass as I do. And if you don't well then piss off. LOL. Just kidding. haha Later guys and be safe! Got everything assembled: 
I haven't figured out where exactly I'm going to go with my light setup and I think I like my good old magpul mvg... just means I'm going to have to customize it to fit. And then lastly is adding on rail covers. The MI-SSK rail is freaking amazing. Rifle is light-weight, feels great, and looks great. Hopefully it shoots great too. :) |
I just had my 5.45x39 AR-15 Cerakote by Joint Force Enterprises in their color they call Dark Bronze. I'm so excited about what Cliff's did!
