Tried my hand at some laser imaging with Cerakote on my Sig P365 XL, came out "ok" for my first one. Learned a lot on this and found some things I need to change for the next one. I applied a single layer of H-240 OD Green. I even changed the Gold FCU and trigger to OD Green, I hated the Gold color. I am going to get the frame over to the guy that does hand stippling and do the grip panels.

I helped one of my guys at the shop with his Space Ranger rifle inspired by the chest rig below. He did most of the paint, I shown him how to paint the lower and then he did the rest (I final QC'd all the parts). He had a blast with flinging the splatter.. He mixed all the paint and did all the clean up. All and all, he did a good job for his first spray out/project.  Parts fresh out of the curing oven..  Paint used...

Air cured ODG on this one; gonna blast and coat something in gold later this week (way too hot to be outside today). Attached File (we're renting for our first year and a bit here after moving; had to sell the old house before getting a fresh VA loan--once we're in our own place I'll be building a proper cerakote/powdercoat curing oven so i can start using the heat-cure stuff at that point) |
