I could go for a G3K and a 53 if they bring those in. Another full-size .308 or the half-size 5.56 don’t really interest me as much. Just wish they’d blow the market out on steel mags for the non-.308 guns.

They didn't say what parts were 922r but I'd assume the handguard, grip/lower housing, stock, charging handle, muzzle device, and fire control group. Back in 2016 I bought a Z43P and got an approved form 1 on it. Installed a folding B&T stock and mount with a HS403 red dot.
Just about the perfect size folded and the roller locked action eats almost everything. A 12" barrel is the sweet spot for handling vs velocity. I hope they bring back the 91 sized pistol also. An 11 or 12 inch would be great as a match to my current one. |

That, combined with MKE's apparent interest in destroying their competition with insanely low prices, leads me to believe/hope it'll be more like $1100-1200 for the G3. |

Zenith imported MKE MP5s were like $1,700-1,800. MSRP may have been around $2,200 but street price they were going for like $1,700 or $1,800. They came in in batches though and between batches I think prices would get a bit inflated to around $2,000 or so. Definitely that would be cool though if they imported the new 91/G3 with a street price around $1,200. |

For mags, oddly enough Inexpensive Promags (the ones that are like $15 or so at RTG, etc) do work in HK93 clones or do in my two. HK93 promags look crappy but work - are like mopeds and fat chicks - fun to ride until your friends see you.  Gunmagwarehouse has MKE/Century 93 mags for $44.99 - decent deal for a new 30 rd steel mag! |

So if I read things right, 1) a pistol can be essentially any length barrel (at the moment) and are imported sometimes with a 16+ barrel. 2) its okay to convert pistol to rifle (with 922R parts count, etc) then add stock 3) pistol can legally convert from pistol to rifle (and back?) BUT 4) Rifle cannot be converted to pistol, unless NFA paperwork is applied (e.g. SBR, AOW, etc) it can never be a "handgun" 5) once a rifle always a rifle unless your rifle was actually first a pistol. To say this out-loud is sort of funny. |
