The middle one. It’s a Vietnam-era M16. We have ten of these. Seven were beat to snot. Three were still new and wrapped and soaked in cosmoline. This is the one I assigned to myself just to keep it stock. I assigned another new one to my car. It now has a collapsible stock and 10.5” barrel on it and shares the Specwar 556 with my personal SBR.

And it was carried a pretty good amount. It might not have been used a lot, but it was carried alot. 2- yours is a M-16A1. I could be wrong, but I do not know how common the (-) is I has seen M16, M16A1, ect. But that hyphen caught my eye. 3- your has two proof/acceptance marks near the from take down pin never seen them. Are they on any other guns you have? Are there more on the barrel? 4- your Serial number is in the 4mil series, not uncommon here. but 95% of Colt factory MGs are in the 9mil series. super cool retro gun. You will love it. I also Like that everyone posts photos of their $20/30,000 m16s and you post a 1500chf (my guess) gun. haha about what did she cost you? Cheers |

Sorry for the slow reply I did not see your reply. The proof marks make that such a super cool pair of guns. I don't know a lot about Switzerland but I do have some very good memories. i've been to Germany three times and the last time I was there About a year so I did some traveling and saw some sites and visited some people. if you have a spare bedroom I will invite myself over. haha |

My current favorite RDIAS set up, has taken me a bit to get running right, but I think I finally got it. I had to delay the timing <.08 to eliminate the bolt bounce that kept giving me LPS.

My SP-1 carbine I purchased new, in 1982, and Form 1'd it in 1983. Upper is Colt 603 and barrel is a Bushy HBAR 11.5, with Brick moderator.

I get to post in this thread. Picked up an M16 yesterday... Today I stripped it down (except the trigger guard because the roll pin wouldn't give up and I wussed out)...  Installed a new Colt M16 LPK from Specialized Armament, a Geissele buffer tube/spring/H2 buffer, and LMT Sopmod, and a Geissele SSF and slapped on an upper. From what I can tell, all stages function appropriately. Going to take it to the range tomorrow and find out.
