 Would love to do a rear tang/peep sight for this gun. The barrel is cut for a dovetail, the tang is pretty short and is not tapped for a tang sight. What are my options? |

Your link no worky. Most BP muzzleloading rifles have a tang. My Lyman GPR rifle has the Lyman peep sight mounted. Lyman peep, mounting it might involve drilling, and tapping the tang. Without being able to see the rifle, I'm just spitballing here. ETA here's a picture of mine, to give you an idea of mounting. Attached File |

Do know anyone with a hobby milling machine? The photo is showing a simple adapter to the tang. Are they available to buy now? Or is that a custom adapter? Anyone with resemble skills can drill and tap a tang if you have the adapter to set the locations of the holes. |
