I finally received my Nexus receiver, got the gun assembled, and took it out briefly yesterday. I didn't get to run a lot of rounds through it, but the feel and recoil of the gun is night and day different to me. Also modded the trigger spring and bolt spring at the same time, so I'm sure that's part of the better feel as well. Butter is the best way I can describe it since it's so smooth. I'm running a Silencerco Spectre 9, and had no issues with 115s or 147s in Magpul mags. My only complaint is that I ordered a gray receiver to match my handguard and trigger pack, but they sent me a black one. I ran with it and think it looks pretty good in black even though I'm pretty sure I paid more for the gray. |

Long ago I put one of those pakse sapper handguards on my gun. I ended up having it replaced because torquing the barrel nut down makes the handguard bend enough (along with the front sight) that I couldn’t get a group on paper at 25 yards lol They ended up replacing it with a new one but it’s always been a bit wobbly. What do I need to put the original handguard back on? I vaguely remember a shitload of threadlocker when taking off the oem front end. Maybe it used different barrel nuts? I don’t remember anything. |

Finally got to shoot my Scorpion EVO 3+ pistol for the first time. Here are my notes. 1) Kind of awkward to shoot, bigger than a pistol but weird for a rifle (obviously) 2) Trigger isn't that great 3) Really needs a stock (see 1) 4) The ambidextrous safety seems to dig into my hand. 5) The Magpul mags are pretty sweet! Swapping the trigger, adding a Holosun or similar sight, stock, safety. This is going to be an expensive toy haha. |

Dug my old Scorpion SBR out of the safe after a couple of years and added the Nexus upgraded bolt, which included the 125% spring. In addition to the force needed to manually charge being a lot heavier, it turned my previously reliable Scorpion into a jam-a-matic. Used two different ammo types/brands, and 3 different mags (Gen 1 factory, AK-V, and Magpul). Feeding issues with all mags, some worse than others, but couldn’t get through any full mags. Went home and swapped out the recoil spring for the factory spring, and next time, it was back to 100% reliable using the same ammo and two of the same mags (didn’t bring the factory mag the second time). The Nexus bolt was fine, but the 125% spring just didn’t work for me. Also, when I last shot it, there weren’t that many PCC options out there, and I didn’t notice or mind the recoil suppressed (Wolfman) or unsuppressed, but after shooting my Kuna, SP5, and APC9, I can say that direct blowback 9mm sucks. Even with a LBP can (CAT MOB), it still sucks. I’ll still keep mine since I’ve had it a long time, did a lot of upgrades, and SBR’d it, but if I were starting out fresh in 2025, I wouldn’t get a Scorpion, or any straight blowback 9mm PCC. |

I purchased and installed the HBI spring kit and HBI delta trigger (in red because I think it looks cool). I haven't shot it yet but feels better already. Installation was slightly easier than I thought it would be after I spent 30 minutes watching videos on Youtube. ------------------------ Okay so quick question. I am trying to change out the charging handle and I can't get the stupid handgard pin out. One comment I saw online says "use a lot of force" but the videos I have seen it practically falls out with a tiny amount of pressure. Am I an idiot? |

Has anyone converted their scorpion to the nexus? I've been debating it for many months on my form4 but didn't due to tax stamp to get back to sbr With impending tax of 0 the thought has come back hardcore |

If I "slap" the trigger meaning I pull trigger and release right away it resets. If I pin it to the rear and then let go I have to nudge the trigger slightly forward to reset. I took the trigger pack apart and everything looks like it should be where it supposed to be. I don't remember getting a shim with mine but it was a long time ago. |
| Yeah I took everything completely down and cleaned all the parts. I don't have that shim. I got it a very long time ago so maybe HBI wasn't including the shim at that time. I just put it all back together. Seems to be functioning outside of the lower housing. WIll reinstall it into the lower housing along with my HBI safeties and see if it is working normally again. Something I noticed is that the trigger spring arm was above and not below the HBI spring-watching the HBI video again and it shows it should be below the HBI spring. Not sure if that might have been the problem. Also the insides were dirty-not crazy dirty, but there was some debris on stuff. Will see if cleaning and reinstalling it as it should be will correct the trigger resetting issue. |
| Hopefully it doesn't create a rush on HBI but I emailed them and they're dropping a shim in the mail. The shim wasn't included when I got mine. The reset problem is probably a combination of no shim and crud buildup. It might reset better with a good cleaning but it's clear from looking in there that a shim will help keep that spring located properly. |
