I have a 14" 44mag CVA Scout pistol. Just filed a form 1 to SBR it. I'm thinking a folding stock would make it an amazing compact woods deer rifle with a light scope and can on it Anyone use either of these? Farrow Tech picatinny adapter Tandem Kross folding stock |

No folder experience or that exact adapter, sorry. Do have the Sharps bros. adapter. Seems really well made. Sharps bros adapter . I just used a simple adjustable picatinney buffer tube and m4 style collapsible stock for my kiddos 300blk build. I needed the length of pull to be as short as possible when he started a year ago. This 16" will probably get chopped at some point, but still a very handy (and accurate) little rifle Attached File |

I have a FarrowTech buffer tube adapter on a 350 Legend rifle so it would fit my daughter better. I like it. It seems solid enough. The grip could probably be a bit smaller but its not bad. I was thinking about picking up a 6.5 Grendel pistol and doing the same thing. |

Now to decide on which folder to buy. |

So, my one concern: that recoil would be bad with the folder, was unfounded. I took it to the indoor range after throwing a dot on it, and I'm in love. Attached File The SBR Ruger Charger also doesn't suck in a chassis. I still have a hard time believing how good the triggers are on the CVA single shots |

Thanks for the report. They are producing pistol grips from the factory now. The pistol looks like it should be SBRed. Mil Spec buffer tube. No word if they sell the stocks separately 11.5 barrel on the pistol.

No experience with the cva. But i b used to have a Handi when they were cheap. I had it in 357 mag which was awesome. I could supress it with the right 9mm can. I reamed the barrel to 357 MAX and got almost 35 Rem performance out of it. 38spl ammo was subsonic, cheap and quiet. 357 mag ammo was good performance and cross compatible with my 686. 357 MAX ammo was smoking. Single shots are super quiet supressed and really short without the action to add leangth. Mine just had a short youth stock on it. It was surprisingly small with just a short stock. |

I love the Handi rifles as well. My niece got her first deer with a 16" trapper in 44mag that is now hers, but, IMO, the CVA is a better platform all around. Attached File Attached File |

So, I put a fixed 4x Weaver Classic on this thing It's good for under 3" five shot groups at 100 off the bench, and is perfect for my "deep in" woods hunting. The only issue is my one piece scope mount is a little low for my liking. I may look for a higher one, or put the rail back on and go with high rings. Attached File Attached File |

I now have some higher rings coming. The cheek weeks on the folding stock isn't comfy with the scope so low, so I'm going to try higher rings and possibly a Weaver Grand Slam 4.75x fixed scope instead of the Weaver Classic 4x. It's a little longer and 11.8oz instead of 9.2oz, but the eye relief and eye box are amazing on the 4.75x, and I've killed piles of deer with that scope as the bullet steering device. This isn't going to suck when my Griffin UL 46 HD gets here.
