CMMG Banshee FE MkGs - Blowback Issue (Page 2 of 2)
Tried my MkGs with the Sub9 that I got out of jail last week, and I’m not getting any debris to the face. There’s some powder particles in the trigger well after shooting, but I’ve had that on almost every PCC that I shoot suppressed. Delayed or not, they are still blowback systems, and some stuff is going to come back into the action. Also tried my Huxwrx Flow 9K Ti. It’s definitely lower backpressure, but also a bit louder (no real surprise). |

I don’t, but I could try just shooting left handed myself. I actually meant to do that, but forgot when I was at the range. Didn’t you say you shoot right handed? |

| I picked up the Huxwrx Flow 9K Ti yesterday, and just based on my minimal amount of testing, it's better on the Banshee, but not great. I still feel some shit hitting me in the face, and my left-handed buddy says its about 50% better compared to the Rugged Sub9, but still very unpleasant. The Huxwrx is also much louder. |

There are no zero back pressure cans. Suppressors work by trapping the gas, which by default causes some back pressure increase. To have truly no back pressure, you either need no baffles to trap gas, or a gigantic can with massive internal volume for the gas to expand in. Neither are practical. There is nothing wrong with either the SUB9 or the Huxwrk Flow 9K. I ran both on my CMMG Banshee, which has the identical setup (except I use a regular carbine spring instead of the flat wire spring) and I don’t get any grit to my face. I’ve got over a dozen 9mm PCCs and numerous 9mm suppressors, both older conventional designs and newer low back pressure ones, and never gotten any debris to the face from a PCC. Either there is a problem with your specific gun, or it’s an expectation issue. The thing to do to nail it down is find someone else who has the same Banshee setup, each shoot the other’s, and compare. People who have the same gun and suppressors aren’t reporting the same experience, but no one knows for sure what you’re actually experiencing without shooting your particular gun. |

No weight in the carrier, but I am running a KynSHOT hydraulic buffer, and even tried an H3 buffer and extra power spring, it made no noticeable difference. I agree there seems to be something wrong, but as I stated previously, CMMG won't even offer to look at it... I know I can spend more money trying to fix it, but I'm not really sure I want to. |

Tried the CMMG .22 deflector on another; it wasn't as effective. I'm sure I could have cut the CMMG FE ejection port door to fit, but I didn't. I found this mod very effective. Added on a PRI gasbuster charging handle because hey why not. Thanks for sharing! |
