| Depends of you can/want to weld. Complete receiver you press off front sight block and barrel and press into the receiver then pin it. Bent shells you weld in mag and stock weldments, trunnion into the receiver and cocking tube. Plus LC stock will be tight. At least they were on the flats. |

U.S. furniture to add to the parts count. I listed a website early on selling a U.S. made sear. I got one and they took the website down. Receiver U.S. 1 lower U.S. 1 U.S. G.I. AR mag is 3 Sear U.S. 1 And waiting on handguard or foregrip for my last part making 7 without putting a U.S. muzzle attachment on and keeping the three prong. |

Even if I could weld I’d probably wait for the welded receiver. I’ve owned 2 complete Marcolmar CETME L rifles and the quality of the welds are incredible. Only way I’d consider the bent flat over the welded one is if the bent flat were not an FFL item or if I were in a super hurry to complete the build. |

HKparts had bayonets on sale don't know if they still do. I grabbed one for 29 bux + shipping. CF sold out of fhe weldment parts and semi grips. The grip can be done in your shop with a drill press along with the rear weldment on a mill. The mag weldment looked to be kinda critical so I did order one of those. Grabbed a bent flat also. I pick up my 100% finished receiver today from my ffl. I was to busy yesterday to pick it up. I have no idea if the bent flats are welded or not. Saves me press time and making a jig so 199 was doable for me. I'll do my own tig on the bent one to finish it off. As far as modifying it from what MCM does? No idea I'l sure it can be done. I was informed MCM deviated from the original receiver for simplicity so there is that. |

I got my lc parts kit today. It looks good. I am on the waiting for a complete lower receiver but if those are expensive, I'm fine with buying a folded upper and finishing that. I really like the idea of the pic rail on the receiver for a modern optic. Is there anything else I should be thinking about with this project? |

Its looking like I am committed to the bent flat now. I spent a few hours this evening with a dremel and cut off wheels, pliers, hand files and a hammer. The result is: -Rear sight is removed and fairly cleaned up. -cocking tube has been cut free, I still need to file the edges on it. -barrel is almost separated from the trunnion. I have some grinding work to do here as the trunnion is welded in 6 places to the old receiver. Goals: -i'd like to reuse the trigger group and not buy a new one. Im not sure what is needed to be done to make that happen. -add pic rail to receiver. -phosphate or nitride finish metal parts. |

I agree with the desire to use original trigger group - not sure - not quite like an HK or 308 CETME at all. |
You can reuse the trigger housing by doing a HMG style blocker. Thats what im gonna do on my 9 L & LC builds. (Ive built 4 in the last 10 years) plus im not payiing $145 for their trigger housing. You can use the MCM mag weldment and cut it so the top leg will fit the original trigger housing after you cut away the top where the sear trip is. The HMG kits came with a long bar you welded in the flat before you bent it.

Ive watched people tear down complete rifles from MarColMar sliding the trigger group out. Mine is wedge in tight, same with the mag well. After the robot welding this thing shrunk. You guys doing the 922r stuff? Parts count you are using in your builds? |

Its tight but not terrible. It takes 2 hands to operate it. I put some videos up on youtube of mag fitment and the trigger box. No way you can put the trigger in by hand, you have to put the front edge with the recess in and get a screwdriver to pry up the receiver edge then it slides in tight. Edit: I havent oiled anything just fitting. I need to do some work on the mag well. I think it worked better the first few times I messed with it. My paint is due anytime. Im going to shoot some epoxy primer from a rattle can first and fit stuff. |

That is one of the reasons I prefer to weld my own. It allows for you to adjust a few things. When they went up for sale, there were about 500 folded flats. Now there are about 55. If you need one now, might better grab one. It looks like it's going to be several weeks before they have any more. |

You jinxed me. I wasnt having any problems with that stock. I spent half the day messing with the U.S. trigger and the stock. I put it on it seemed extra tight. Messed with it some sanding the receiver and some edges filed. Fitted the new trigger box and put the whole thing together. Stock and trigger. Now its damned tight. Thinking the trigger pack bulged it out some. Ive been sanding it and working on the fitment. Not wanting to hog away on it with a Dremel. I think I have some polishing cones somewhere. |

Ok guys looks like I'll be taking a load to Centerfire mid next week... so far here's whats going... 1) 150 flats... found out our stamper had put these with our die sets as it was an overrun... we were there this week discussing next run and they commented they had a few on the rack... so they are coming... just nuts. 2) Weldments / mag well insert and rear trunnion. 3) A small amount of green pistol grips... going to do a new run of these for your 922(r) needs. 4) Bent L Receivers 5) FDE buttstocks, pistol grips and assembled handguards. 6) Semi lowers... some empty, some built with refinished parts and new springs. 7) Manuals if you want the history and pics. 😎 Black buttstocks, pistol grips and assembled handguards 9) FDE painted front sights 10) Welded in the white railed receivers - these are the last unless Centerfire wants more. 11) One box of painted railed L receivers - these are be the last unless Centerfire wants more. And finally THE LAST OF THE LV PAINTED RECEIVERS... the rarest variant of all of the factory parts sets... we only got 125 of them. Will likely be some more stuff too... but this is whats put together now. |
