Has anyone tried this on the Ruger GSR? How do you like it?

I have one. I like it, the grip is kinda blocky. And I don't need 90% of the adjustability...probably could have used any of their basic stocks and been fine. Gets a lot of compliments. Probably heavier than the synthetic stock I had.

I have one for a Marlin. It looks nice... now. The inletting looked like Boyds hadn't changed their router bit since 1993. Lots of cleanup work needed to remove splinters. Also, the grip panels are poorly molded. I would have paid another $100 for Boyds to do a better job.

I bought a Ruger brand syn stock for my GSR. Lots lighter than the OEM laminate stock, and not only is the fore end unusually well braced internally, but the syn stock comes with a built-in point for a third sling mounting point (Ching sling).

Also, if you start with a synthetic stock, you need to get the plastic mag well from Ruger. Its molded into the synthetic stock, but a separate piece for the laminate one. Just FYI. And I had to shim mine to get the mags to seat.
